What a week!

Oceanfest surpassed our expectations, we've got a whole wack of new Pirates hitting the seas - thanks for all the support!

We've also got some excellent feedback from a select few players (you know who you are - we see you!), while we love to hear that you've been enjoying the demo to the fullest, we've also heard about some concerning bugs preventing players from continuing a run.

OBVIOUSLY these bugs are not intended, but we are a small team & can only catch so many before patches. So for those of you that have reported bugs THANK YOU VERY MUCH! If we don't see bugs we can't squash them, so if you encounter issues REPORT THEM VIA THE IN-GAME FEEDBACK FORM.

With that out of the way, we're pleased to announce we've been doing some squashing these last few days:

Bugfixes:

  • The storm no longer softlocks players

  • Fixed issues with the trickster event options not properly displaying options

  • Fixed an issue where enemy unit tooltips extended off screen

  • Fixed bug where if you continue a game from a shop the shop will start empty

  • You now achieve skill coins upon successful run completion

  • Upgraded scattershot now has an effect

  • Kraken no longer softlocks fight if it kills a unit

  • Extra Motivation works correctly if it kills a unit

  • Courier upgrade now moves

  • Baby Cuddlefish effect now copies as intended

Card Changes:

  • Mama Cuddlefish has been kneecapped (speed 3 -> 2)

Looking to the future

The upcoming weeks are going to be pretty busy for us, we're ending our festival-streak by attending Steams Next Fest (July 15th). This is going to be a major milestone, and the final major demo update before release (probably).

This next major update will come with a variety of changes, including:

  • Full Enemy Rework

  • Updated Gallery

  • Multiple Card reworks / adjustments
