Important Changes Regarding Save Slots

I know this is a long announcement so feel free to skip to the bottom but READ THE BOLD.

I've been looking into improving PieClicker a lot recently, including changes that would finally enable the Steam overlay in more capacity. Another thing I really want to do is add Linux support since Windows 10 support will be ending in 2025.

The underlying technology PieClicker was built on is great and works decently for Windows, unfortunately that's just not what I need anymore. In order to move forward and preserve all the game save files you guys have made, I've pushed out an update that will start to integrate a new file save system.

I fully plan on supporting all features in future Windows and Linux compatible versions. So you'll still be able to get Steam achievements. :)

In order to make sure your save gets preserved in the transfer make sure you open the game at least once in the next 6 months. That's it. All you need to do is make sure you open the game and let the main menu load. Then you should be good!

One more slightly technical detail, due to the location the new save files are stored in, cloud syncs might take slightly longer than usual.

To repeat: If you don't want your save data deleted all you need to do is open the game until the main menu loads ONCE in the next 6 months.
