addednow that a lot of the baseline fixes and improvements are done, i'm moving on to bigger features/changes as we get closer to the full release. so i started out with adding a player-requested feature: Quick Retry! the goal was to let you start over super easily if you lose some time, so you can reset the board and get a fresh start with just a few quick clicks :)
changed(theres also some minor improvements and fixes all around the game, including a big bug in the tutorial when you use a gamepad)
fixedv0.20 Changelog:fixed a bug where gamepad-specific code was running in the tutorial even if you were using a mouse, causing slots to incorrectly select themselves automatically

v0.20 Changelog:

  • fixed a bug where gamepad-specific code was running in the tutorial even if you were using a mouse, causing slots to incorrectly select themselves automatically

  • added animations to the onscreen control prompts, now they slide in/out when the game starts!

  • added quick-retry to practice runs ONLY

  • added hotkey to start the game (on the timer menu) and begin a practice run (on the results screen). so now you can mash R and get right back to playing!

  • added onscreen prompts for that ^ hotkey

  • added a "Fetching Scores..." message to the leaderboard

  • updated leaderboard page navigation buttons to prevent buggy behavior while scores are being fetched

  • fixed a bug where the in-game "quick menu" was allowing slot navigation even while other menus were open

  • improved readability of text throughout the entire game

there might be a little break in updates since I'll be going out of town for a bit (for the indie game awards), but i'll be doing work while i'm abroad, so updates will catch up when i get back!!

thanks for playing my games :)
