Will the map editor mode be available at launch?
We initially planned to release the map editor mode at launch. However, to make sure that you get the best experience possible, we decided to postpone the feature's deployment in a future update. Postponing the map editor launch will grant us more time to work (test phases, debug) and polish it before its official deployment. Thank you for your understanding.
Were community feedback useful at some point in Pharaoh: A New Era development?
Yes, it did. Steam Next Festival (in February 2022) allowed us to gather an incredible amount of community feedback. We really appreciated your involvement in the game development and we did our best to study everything carefully before brainstorming on what we could do to improve the user experience, no matter if the player is a huge fan or a newcomer.
What kind of change or improvement shall we expect when launching Pharaoh: A New Era?
If we unveil everything now, there won't be any surprise on Feb 15 but we'll just give you a few examples of what we've been cooking up these last months thanks to your feedback.
During last year's Steam Next Festival, we noticed that several players complained about the number of clicks required to select a building in-game. After some discussion with the team, we decided to bring some improvements to the Build Menu that now allows you to find any building with no more than two clicks.
We also made the workforce access to the buildings automatic when there are placed within two tiles of houses and added a new feature that allows players to easily copy-paste buildings so they don't need to go through the Build Menu endlessly.
These three examples are just a glimpse of all changes and improvements you will notice on Feb 15. We’re extremely grateful for your everlasting support and can't wait to get your first impressions when Pharaoh: A New Era launches next month.
