Chef Pete

After clearing wave 39, you'll be greeted by this kind fella and his cheeseburger pals. Good luck.

New Items

Thor's Phone

A cell phone with the skies on speed dial. Using this item will cause lightning to occasionally strike nearby, damaging enemies.

Wristwatch

This exquisite watch will increase the cooldown time between waves by 30 seconds. Each watch you use will increase the cooldown time by 30 more seconds. (Remember that cooldowns can be skipped by holding B on either the keyboard or gamepad).

Nimbility Implant

A surgically implanted chip that rewires your brain, allowing you to reload your weapons 25% faster and run a little quicker. The chip is implanted by the shopkeep. It should be noted that the shopkeep does not have a medical license.

Speed Pill

A nice, tasty pill that increases your movement speed twice as much as the Nimbility Implant.

Can of Soup

Homemade soup cooked by the shopkeep himself. Restores a random amount of HP between 50 and 100.

Shopkeep's Heart

Sometimes shopkeeps will become desperate to feed their families, and will offer their heart for sale. Consuming this fully restores your HP, but results in the death of the shopkeep you buy it from.

Chef's Hat

After defeating Chef Pete, he'll drop his hat, which you can then wear yourself, increasing the effectiveness of consumed food items by 25%.

Cheeseburger

A plain cheeseburger, occasionally dropped by Chef Pete's friends. Restores 45 HP.

Music

There's music now. You'll love it. But if you don't, music and sfx volume can be configured in the new audio settings menu (accessible from the regular settings menu).

Achievements

There's now separate achievements for beating each boss in hard mode, plus separate hardmode achievements for Slippery, Untouchable, and Unstoppable. There's also a new achievement for rolling/dodging 20,000 times across all saves. Plus a new hidden achievement.

Smaller changes & bug fixes

  • Reduced the amount of Potions of Bad Vibes that could be given by the altar.

  • There is now a chance that the altar will spawn nearby when you clear a wave. This chance starts at 0%, and will increase by 5% for each wave you clear without taking damage, up to a max of 50% at ten waves in a row with no damage. This chance resets to zero if you take damage during a wave, or if an altar spawns.

  • Slightly reduced the chance of an altar spawning naturally on mountaintops.

  • The shopkeep wears clothes again.

  • Projectile-firing enemies start spawning at wave 10 now instead of wave 16.

  • Adjusted difficulty for projectile-firing enemies (reduced their HP in hard mode and reduced fire rates & projectile velocities).

  • The SMG and assault rifle now unlock at wave 16 instead of wave 17.

  • The player now has 0.25 seconds of invincibility after taking damage.

  • Added a visual effect to the player after consuming Bottle of Milk.

  • Made Phillip McTree's chase attack a little more aggressive.

  • Reduced the amount of rings of cream balls spawned by Arnold Creamston from 10 to 5.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause shops to spawn with their doors over water, which would make them inaccessible.
