Pebble Knights changes
Steam post image Hello, Pebble Knights! This update significantly improves boss presence and attack patterns while adding new ways to earn EXP and make progression more rewarding. We have also adjusted overall weapon appearance rates to reduce clutter caused by duplicate weapons and rebalanced several Traits. Check out the full details below.
[Boss System Overhaul]
Dizzypang
Moves from side to side while drunk and ignores certain physical attacks unless Groggy.
Fires fewer projectiles, but the Dizzy pattern is now larger.
Now appears as a ground boss in Lunch and Dinner modes.
Skullpang 2.0
Now intercepts all projectiles.
Drops a Power Meter upon death.
Holy the Moly
Sluglet monsters no longer self-destruct and instead explode when killed.
Sluglet monsters take damage when they hit a wall.
Added a new shotgun variant.
Muhammarock
Added a new pattern used before becoming Groggy.
Becomes Groggy slightly more often.
Drops Gloves that Pebbles can use upon death. This also applies to the 2.0 version.
Implantus
Gold tooth collision detection now also applies to the torso.
Fixed an issue where players could occasionally become stuck inside its body.
Attack the statue after defeating the boss to earn EXP.
Voltergeist
Added a new variant with two outlets.
Crazy Bomber
Added an animation for flames disappearing.
Fixed an issue where stepping on flames would not deal damage.
Moving bombs now appear in a 3x5 formation.
Attack the exploded remains to earn EXP.
Pennydice
Failing the dice-matching challenge inflicts Confusion. The cursor changes to ? and you cannot attack.
Successfully matching the dice makes the boss Groggy and causes it to summon the dice again. It will not use a card attack after a success.
Added a buzzer-beater rule. If the dice are matched when time runs out, the timer continues.
Failing the dice-matching challenge causes the dice to explode.
Throws a bomb upon death. This is only a visual effect and deals no damage.
Ramial
While not Groggy, only the last two digits of incoming damage are applied. Example: 10237 damage > 37 damage.
Increased the safe zones during the berserk pattern before Groggy and increased how often the boss becomes Groggy.
The variant prism summon is now a battle pattern instead of an entrance animation.
The prism can now be picked up while the pattern is active.
Drops a Laser that Pebbles can use upon death.
Updated the prism's visual assets.
Magnite
Added seven new attack patterns.
Uses every pattern without repeating any of them.
Shai-Hululu
Players no longer take contact damage from the boss.
When players are bound together, only the leader at the head takes damage.
Rolling now pulls teammates in the tail with greater force.
If a player in the tail is hit by the boss's jump attack, they will be swallowed in one bite.
The binding is now released only after making the boss Groggy.
Groggy items can now be destroyed.
The bite attack is now more intense.
Rollaf
The entire floor turns into ice when the boss appears.
Removed the snowball barrage skill. The boss now only summons Snow Bomb monsters and uses its rolling pattern.
Summoned Snow Bomb monsters move faster on ice.
Freeze now reduces Attack Speed and Move Speed instead of preventing actions.
Removed the torch variant.
Rock Mary
Adjusted the speed of the wall barrage pattern.
A hologram now appears upon death. All players can step on it to earn special EXP.
Mr. & Mrs. Fist
Making one boss Groggy briefly stops the other, giving you a chance to make it Groggy as well.
If only one boss becomes Groggy, their defense remains active and bonus critical hits will not trigger.
The laser skill is now more dangerous.
[Boss Spawn Rule Changes]
Starting in Lunch mode, Dizzypang appears as the Wave 5 boss.
Starting in Lunch mode, bosses appear randomly regardless of their original order.
[Trait and Weapon Balance]
The I Choose You! Trait now summons two Weaponmons.
Fixed an issue where stacking certain Traits, including Haste, could exceed the Attack Speed cap.
Adjusted overall weapon appearance rates to reduce clutter caused by duplicate weapons.
Slightly increased the amount of Ore required to upgrade the Tent.
[Bug Fixes]
Fixed a crash that could occur when using Soul Slash under certain conditions.
Fixed an issue where Traits being upgraded appeared gray.
The Ascension UI now marks Traits already owned twice with a gold outline.
Fixed an issue where Grave Struggle would occasionally not work.
Fixed an issue where the Training value could occasionally be much higher than intended.
Fixed an issue where lobby fireworks could generate infinite EXP after a victory.
Fixed an issue where weapons could occasionally disappear after using Continue.
Fixed an issue where focus could move to another button on the main screen, unintentionally selecting Exit or Tutorial.
Fixed an issue where a headless Decoy could be summoned through Boom Decoy.
[Other Changes]
Certain explosions now send players bouncing through the air.
Players can now struggle free while Squashed.
Updated some tutorial descriptions.
Updated some game tips.
The Angel Statue now offers two choices by default instead of three. It will still offer three choices while you have the Great Fortune Trait.
The 'Eating Kills You' Demon debuff has changed from a floor limit with guaranteed death to a time limit with a chance-based effect.
