Patterns Of The Oak changes
A new build has just been pushed to the live branch! The Default Deck has received some changes to bring it more in line with the other decks.
We’ve mostly kept the spell stats and abilities the same, but the Default Deck now starts with a brand new Mythic item: Oakheart Talisman. This item has two effects.
If you fail a spell cast, the timer pauses giving you a moment to reassess before continuing
Each successful spell cast grants +1 to all spell stats
While the Default Deck may still start with slightly weaker cards than the others, skilled play can now give it a solid boost. For some new players failing a spell while the timer keeps ticking away can be frustrating, so we’re hoping this change helps ease that experience.
Build v1.0.9 Patch Notes
Added new Mythic item Oakheart Talisman. Successful spell casts grant +1 to all stats &One failed spell per turn freezes time
The Default Deck now starts with Oakheart Talisman
Fixed pause time abilities incorrectly slowing down the gameplay timer
Removed the buff screen white flash
It’s also been just over a week since we launched our little game! We’ve reached 450+ players which might sound small compared to bigger projects, but for our first game with no existing following, it honestly means the world to us. We’re excited to see if we can hit 500 players next!
We’ve also hit another big milestone with 10+ reviews giving us a positive rating. We really can’t thank you enough for the kind words and support.
Since launch, we’ve mostly kept our heads down fixing and improving things, so we haven’t pushed the game heavily online, but we’ve been lucky enough to have some amazing content creators play the game, including Zueljin Plays and more recently Retromation. Huge thanks to them!
We’re really excited to see where this takes us and Patterns of the Oak. There’s still a ton we want to improve and add, so if you have any feedback or suggestions, we’d absolutely love to hear them.
