Welcome to another devlog! This week, I'll talk about the newly added tier2 belts.
As discussed in a past devlog there are two main modes of transportation in the game right now. The basic transportation is by conveyor belts. Bulk cargo transportation, suited for longer distances, can be done with a cable claw system.
Tier 2 Conveyors and splitters
Last week, I have been adding the tier 2 upgrade to the conveyor belt system, which requires iron retrofitting, but doubles the transportation speed.
The regular and sloped belts (up and down) now have iron based upgrades. The vertical and horizontal splitter also have iron based upgrades.
Additionally, some quality of life features have been added for building:
If you click a basic conveyor belt while holding the upgraded version, it automatically updates it in place. The same goes for upgrading splitters.
Like with the basic belts, if you want to build a sloped tier 2 conveyor but don't have any in your inventory, but you have regular tier 2 conveyors in your inventory, you can still build the sloped versions, the regular conveyors are transformed on the fly.
You can also upgrade basic sloped conveyors using regular tier 2 conveyors, they will automatically transform to the correct sloped conveyor.
Thanks for reading!
Less than a month before early access release. Exciting!
