changedWhew, finally! The first part of my planned multi-part update for the World Map / Multiple Settlement system. I did my best to playtest it as much as I could but let me know on the discord or on the Steam discussions if you find any bugs or issues, or have any suggestions!
addedUpdating the game to support multiple settlement really opened up the game to new avenues; for the next few updates, I will focus on fixing any bugs, solidifying existing systems (specially guest / tavern gameplay, combat and magic) and adding one or two more biomes. This was such a huge update on the backend that I just want to focus on existing features after this until everything catches up.
addedAnyway, new features!
addedShips, docks, wharves. You can now build docks and wharves; docks will let ships land on your settlement, wharves will let you build over the water.
addedMultiple Settlements. At Prestige Level 3 of your capital city, your citizens will start suggesting new areas for discovery. Every map tile has its own traits, map type and biome.
changedRevamped Population Growth and Difficulty. I've adjusted the scaling so population growth is tied more to how well you're running your settlement.

Anyway, new features!

  • Coastal start. Your colonial kingdom now starts on a coastal area.

  • Ships, docks, wharves. You can now build docks and wharves; docks will let ships land on your settlement, wharves will let you build over the water.

  • Multiple Settlements. At Prestige Level 3 of your capital city, your citizens will start suggesting new areas for discovery. Every map tile has its own traits, map type and biome.

  • Revamped Population Growth and Difficulty. I've adjusted the scaling so population growth is tied more to how well you're running your settlement.

  • Performance Improvements, bug fixes (storage errors fixed, some pathing issues along borders of map)
