Outcore: Desktop Adventure changes
Heyyyy kids!!! Are you ready to play some ːsteamhappyːːsteamhappyːːsteamhappyː Dead Watch ːsteamhappyːːsteamhappyːːsteamhappyː????
The day is here, and the demo is now available! It takes between 1 and 5 hours to complete, depending on your own pace and how much side content you want to do.
If you're patient, I highly suggest you aim to complete the optional content to uncover more of the game's story.
This is the first time the game is publicly playable, so there will be bugs. If you encounter an issue, small or big, then please join the game's Discord server and report it at the #Dw-bugs-forum. If you want to suggest changes or quality of life features then you can do that too!
Achievements
The demo contains 7 achievements total. If you get all of the achievements, you might become friends with Santa Claus.
You'll also get a c00l role on Dead Watch's Discord server, which will prove you are better than others!
Localization
The demo is currently in English only, but I plan to add more languages in the future. Some time after the demo is released I'll finish the localization system, and then I hope to start a community translation project.
If you have experience or are passionate about localization and would like to contribute to translating Dead Watch to your language, then (believe it or not), join our Discord server and let me know in the Dead Watch translations channel.
What's next?
For the next week, I'll probably be busy fixing bugs you'll find and generally dealing with the demo's launch.
After that I'll be entering a writing phase, where I'll flesh out the details of chapters 2 + 3. Then I'll start working on them, which I hope will take about half a year or less to complete. Chapters 2 + 3 will likely be as big as chapter 1 (the demo).
After that I'll have 3 more chapters to complete, but those will be smaller in scale and scope, so hopefully I'll be able to complete the entire game this year.
Where to follow
How to support the game during development
If you want to support the game development and be rewarded for it then there's also a Patreon page. I use 100% of the money from Patreon to offload more work to contractors, which increases the game's quality and accelerates the development speed.
While waiting for the full game, why not also wait for another game by my friend, Kingblade:
Have fun!!! Let me know your opinion of Dead Watch's demo, it really does matter to me and will help shape the future of the full game
