Hi everyone!

Welcome to 2026, the year we will start the localisation process, the porting to Switch & Xbox and then ultimately will launch the game into 1.0. It will be a busy and exciting year!

Looking back at what we did in 2025:

We launched the game with the spring season in August. It had around 53 plants, 100 recipes, and a minimum of 16h playtime.

In September we added Berta the Highland Cow!

In October we did a plant update which added 10 new plants.

Then in November we launched the summer update. It contained: 30+ new summer plants and mushrooms, 74 new recipes, 3 new friendship tiers for each character (approx. 90 new quests!), a new character (Kiano the tailor), a new area with a big lake, paddle boarding, 45 new community projects to do (like decorating the town!), and 15 new outfit pieces (using dyes!). We also added bulk cooking (amongst many other smaller improvements).Steam post image

In December we added the Honesty Stalls, where you can sell items passively, giving you more ways to earn currencies.

What's next?

Now we're back in January and we had a big team meeting to discuss the next priorities, all based on the feedback we received via steam, discord, surveys etc.

The most common problem players identified, was the "lack of gameplay variety",the "map not being clear enough" and that the quests were "only fetch quests". We're planning to work on these problems now, starting with the MAP:

This is just work in progress, there is much more to be done and polished. The new map will show:

  • Player location and direction you're looking at

  • NPC location when they have quests

  • Paths in the world

  • Plants of each area (just like the current map in a UI overlay)

  • Fast travel spots

  • Honesty stalls (and if they're full/empty)

  • Community Projects that you have discovered

  • Tracked plants (select plants via the field guide to show the patches you discovered on the map)

This map update, together with an update to sprinting, will launch early February.

We will also start working on:

  • Photo quests! Instead of only having foraging-fetch quests, we will create photo quests that ask for a picture. But not just any picture! These quests can have puzzle elements asking for a certain object inside the frame, leaving you to figure out from where to best take the picture. We hope you like this idea - give us some feedback in the comments if you have some other ideas how to use it.

  • "Cook with NPC" quests types, instead of only "cook". We know you sometimes feel like errand boys, used by the townsfolk to complete tasks. We don't want you to feel this way and we're hoping the "cook with" quests will change that. It feels much nicer cooking something with a person than cooking it for them, right? Let me know what you think!

  • Minijobs/Part time jobs. We did a team brainstorming session and voted to implement interactive cooking minigames - but instead of making them mandatory for your daily cooking, we chose to turn them into a minijob/part time job. Meaning: if you want to cook something for the market, everything stays the same. But you can choose to take on a part-time job in the kitchen doing cooking minigames for the community. We're also thinking of waitressing for Charles cafe as a minijob. If you have some fun and simple minijob ideas, tell me about them in the comments!

End of 2025, I thought we'd be working on the Autumn update next, which would contain the autumn season and the last chapter of the story. But instead, we will first add all of these new systems and increase gameplay variety first, and then work on the autumn update.

Meaning the autumn update will actually now be our 1.0 launch. I hope you're not disappointed to not get more story soon. But this will make everything, especially localisation, a lot easier for us, and also give us more time to make the autumn update/1.0 really special!

That's it from us for now! Have a great rest of your week everyone 🌈
