The wait is over, our Big Demo Update is now live!
It’s been some time since we first released the demo, and thanks to all your amazing feedback, we’re very excited to finally share one of our biggest updates yet. This version brings new systems, smoother exploration, and a much more enjoyable experience.
🪨 A new way to interact with the world
One of the biggest changes in this update is how you interact with the environment.
Your Favorite Rock is now your primary tool. Instead of being locked into a fixed animation, you can now move freely while interacting with the world around you.
Free Movement: no more being locked in place when interacting
More Interactions: more environmental objects can now be used or broken
Better Flow: actions feel faster and more natural
🗺️ A clearer way to explore
Navigation has been significantly improved to support exploration without taking away the joy of discovery.
You now have a combined map and journal system where:
Your current position is always visible
Discovered landmarks appear automatically
Map icons update based on your progress and world state
Quest objectives are easier to follow while exploring
👒 Dress up Otto
We know many of you were excited for this feature, and it’s finally here! You can now customize Otto with outfits, hats, and accessories to match your style while exploring the world.
Cosmetics can be:
Found while exploring
Traded with a local fisherman
Bought in a cosmetics shop
🌊 A smoother and more diverse world
Beyond new systems, we also focused heavily on improving the world itself.
We added more distinct underwater biomes, making each area easier to recognize and giving them their own identity and atmosphere.
We also improved level design by adding more points of interest and environmental variety, making exploration more rewarding and enjoyable.
Finally, we spent a lot of time on optimization: improving performance while keeping visual quality intact, so the game feels smoother and more enjoyable to play.
Technical improvements include:
Level of Detail (LOD) improvements
Smarter rendering; dynamic culling
Animation, audio, VFX, and general optimizations
