Otterly Lost changes
Hi fellow otter lovers and everyone curious about Otterly Lost!
After releasing the demo, we took some time to absorb all the incredible feedback you shared with us and set our plans for the future.
Your support, excitement, and thoughtful comments have meant so much to our team. Thank you for giving our little otter such a heartwarming welcome. We’re more motivated than ever to make the full experience even better!
We’d like to walk you through the key improvements and additions planned for the full release.
🗺️ Navigation
While the game is called Otterly Lost, we didn’t mean for players to be lost completely, and we know some of you felt unsure about where to go next. Upcoming updates and the full release will include:
A world map
Fast travel
Quest tracking
Better directions
All to help you adventure smoothly while keeping the exploration intact.
✨ Gameplay
You loved the favorite rocks, and we heard you! In the future updates, not only will there be more favorite rocks, but you’ll also be able to use them as a primary tool in a brand new way. Along with:
Expanded quests and storylines that deepen the lore
New items and tools
New puzzle mechanics and minigames
A couple of brand-new world systems (and yes… where there is fish, there will be a way to catch it)
Character movement and animations (both design and visual changes)
More distinct biomes above and underwater, greater environmental variety overall
And a better onboarding, plus many other technical improvements to make everything smoother and more responsive.
🎨 Personalization
We know that a bit of customization can make the world feel more familiar and special, so we’re adding some features to make Otto’s journey feel even closer to you:
Cosmetic items for Otto
Photography mechanic to capture cute moments along the journey
A few gentle ways to let your creativity guide the experience.
We’re committed to making Otto’s journey a cozy, endearing adventure for everyone. Thank you for playing the demo! And we can’t wait to share more with you as we head towards the full release!
Welcome to the raft and tag along for future updates! 🦦🦦
