Devlog #2 - Hello Everyone,

I've been wrestling with the dialog system for a while now. After a long and exhausting stretch of work, I finally got it done. Even with AI assistance, there were way too many bugs, especially in the build, where visuals, conversations and the entire panel kept shifting out of place. Learned the hard way...

Here's a quick breakdown of how the dialog system works:

  • Some contacts will now reach out to you on their own and start random conversations. (Some might even come with rewards... maybe :) )

  • When the police raid you, the dialog system kicks in and they'll have a few demands. You know how it goes :)

  • I've decided to add dialogs to the quest system as well. Not sure if I'll write unique dialog for every single quest, but I'm going to give it a shot.

  • The tutorial wasn't fully finished anyway, so I want to blend it into the dialog system. I think having the first contact walk you through the basics could work really well.

See you in the next devlog!
