Mars - Building Elevators
Dear distinguished Orbiteers!
We're excited to present you the third orbit you can explore in Orbiteers: Mars!
Mars is the perfect location for our very first Space Elevator. With only about a third of Earths gravity, building a functional elevator will be easy. The basic framework is already in place, but it still needs something special to reach its full potential.
The New Core
The basic infrastructure is already there, but do you see all that empty space?
That's where our newest invention comes in: Replacer Modules ™ (Patent Pending)
Each Replacer Module ™ offers different bonuses that speed up the development of the Martian orbit. Will you install luxurious hotels for daring tourists, auxiliary power units for power efficiency, or large warehouses to fuel industry? You decide how the space elevator develops!
Base in a Box
Mission Control is shaking things up! You start the second Martian level with many different modules and have to show your strategic prowess by reaching a sky-high score before new offers unlock. Can you reach Mission Control's ambitious expectations in this brand-new mode?
Protecting Against Solar Winds
Our latest measurements have shown that solar activity has been steadily rising. To make sure our astronauts won't get fried we need to protect the station from solar winds.
For this purpose, Mission Control has introduced a new module: The Solar Wind Repeller.
It creates a perimeter around itself in which the station is effectively shielded from the sun's ionizing radiation. For safety, modules must be placed entirely within this perimeter. Recent data from satellites appears to show that we might have to do this for some stations in Earth's orbit too...
How will you shape Mars’ first space elevator? Find out when Orbiteers releases in Q4 2025!
Thank you for your support,
The Orbiteers Developers
