Operation Zeta changes
Huge update for Operation Zeta for the one year anniversary in Early Access. This update is potentially the last major update before launch! The goal is to fix and polish the current feature set and set a date for full release soon. This update is jam packed full of new stuff. Lets get into some of the highlights.
New Character Race: Meows
We have added the 13th playable character the Meows! You may have seen them around as NPCS, but the cats are now playable. They have a unique way to play as they do not have a timer or even quests! Their goal is to collect enough shiny rocks to play with from the Gem golems scattered around the map.
Fancier Character Select & Menus
We have taken a look at all the menus in the game and revamped and changed most of them. First thing that will be noticed is we have added a info box for each character before selecting them. This will give you an idea of what this character can do and how hard they will be to play! Hopefully this will stop new players from trying to win with a droid before they are ready.
Character rebalance/ Variance
One complaint people had about OZ was that a lot of the characters felt the same. We have gone through for each of the 13 characters and gave them more unique quests, dialogue, art and gameplay. For example a playthrough with Gibby is now an onslaught of battles while a playthrough with Florbo is solving a ton of puzzles.
Random Events
Random events will now occur in the game. To further vary gameplay random events have been added. Sometimes it might be an incoming meteor show, sometimes it might be one of the sneaky Space Purrates to steal a ship part.
New Upgrades
We have added 6 new upgrades to get. From stopping the new Purrates from stealing your parts to a shield for your ship.
Other stuff
Tons of other things have been added as well, such as new quests, Achievements & database entries. I'm excited for you guys to start exploring and find all of the new things. We even had time to add a couple fun new Easter Eggs. Let us know if you can find them.
Final Thoughts & Future
As stated at the start the goal of this update is to be a potential release build of the game. It certainly needs to go through some more looks from you guys as well as internally, however we plan to have a release date for OZ *VERY SOON* Keep your feedback coming and thank you for the support this past year of early access, I hope to bring you guys a fun and enjoyable game. Fixed you can no longer suffocate while doing a puzzle quest

Fixed Graphical bug with Gibbies smoke trail

Fixed Gibby getting stuck in a hit loop and being unable to move.
Fixed Danny's and Slugula's UI's not updating when laser their is fired
Fixed the same NPC can no longer appear twice in one run
Fixed starting planet to no longer have static terrain features overlap the ship blueprint.
Fixed some of the menus to feel nicer with a controller
Fixed grappling magnets grabbing things slightly offcenter.
Fixed some issues with Frumptar's animation for idling.

Changed Gibby's attack cooldowns
Changed the amount of things needed to do to unlock Florbo and Golemite
Changed the acceleration on ships with controllers to feel more smooth

Lowered controller tolerance.
Fixed Crash when doing certain quests with Droid
Fixed bug where you could spam enter to get extra credits on the complete screen.
Fixed Explosive upgrade not working for Frumptar, Golemite, Danny and Meows
