Once Upon The Universe changes
Exploration and Technology have been heavily reworked. Civilizations now discover the universe individually, gain Science from exploration and then convert it into Technology Points. This update will break old saves so if you want you might use the older branch with final pre-update build.
Exploration, Technology & New Buildings
Exploration
Reworked civilization exploration into a civilization-specific discovery system.
Each civilization now tracks its own discovered objects instead of relying on a shared global discovery state.
Civilizations start with knowledge of their home system, while the rest of the universe remains hidden until explored.
Added Science Points as rewards for exploration.
Science rewards now depend on the explored object and its traits
Repeated discoveries of similar traits now provide reduced rewards, making first discoveries more valuable
Added a dedicated Exploration tab to the civilization panel
Technology
Introduced a functional research tree.
Added several technology branches
Added Science Points and Technology Points as separate resources
New and Updated Buildings
Added Observatory as an exploration-focused building.
Observatory unlocks organized Observation exploration for civilizations.
Clicking an active Observatory moves the camera to the observed object.
Added Space Agency as a prepared building type for future exploration layers.
