On Your Tail changes
So we launched On Your Tail a bit over one month ago, 2025 is just started, and this is the right time to share with you some cool informations about our future roadmap for the game!
First of all, a H U G E thank you for your support: we've currently got over 100 reviews with a Very Positive rating on Steam, this is an amazing result for us! Now brace yourselves, we have a lot of stuff coming...
Bug fixes We've already released 8 patches for the game - yikes!-, greatly improving the game stability and squashing a ton of bugs. On Your Tail is complex and big and we're a small team, so sadly some bugs and edge cases caught us off guards at launch. We'll continue fixing bugs until the game is 100% stable!
Improved translations Some in game translations in various languages are sub par or wrong (for example: Chea's Riddles), and we're working to fix it.
Performance improvements + migration to Unity 6 On Your Tail already runs very well on Steam Deck and on low powered hardware, but we've been working hard ot optimize performances even further. First of all, we're migrating the game to Unity 6, harnessing the increased performances and optimizations of the new version of Unity. At the same time, a lot of the optimizations we've introduced for the Switch version have been implemented in the game. Our goal is to offer a perfecly smooth experience, boosting the frame rate further and ironing out some fps dips while roaming through Borgo Marina.
Nintendo Switch version As announced, the Switch version of On Your Tail is coming soon! We'll share a release date as soon as it's set in stone.
Quality of Life improvements We've been watching the community suggestion closely, here on Steam and on the official game Discord, and we've started working on some much needed QoL improvements for the game:
Camera optimization and more options: we're working hard to implement better camera controls and more options to alleviate the motion sickness problem experienced by some players.
Harvesting mini game improvements: we'll rebalance the mini game, making it easier, and we'll add more harvesting point
Fishing rebalancing and improvements
Extra dialogues to better explain some part of the story
- Joker Cards rebalancinga lot more Joker cards will be available to use during investigations and puzzles
Improved cooking: we're revising some interactions to make them easier and more intuitive
- Mind Palace improvementsadded icons to better show when an activity has been completed (stargazing etc...)
Added the ability to open the quest log with the map
The ability to quit some mini games
More visual and accessibility options
Full key remapping
We still plan to add some form of fast travel in the game, but we need to find the right way to do it.
And now the juicy part...
Extra content and DLCs
While it's a bit too early to share specific info, our goal is to expand the game with extra content and DLCs: On Your Tail has been structured in such a way that, aside from the main story, is easy to expand. We plan to expand the existing activities, add more activities and mini games, more interactions with your friends, more investigations, new locations to explore, expanded relationships and extra romance. We'll also add more outfits, accessories and extra props to decorate your room. As soon as we have our plans set in stone, we'll share all the informations! That's a promise!
Thanks again for all your support and don't forget to leave a review here on Steam if you've enjoyed the game!
