Omnicore: Freiza's Retribution changes
Version 0.97 is here, and this update is all about making FreizaTD feel bigger, busier, and more powerful to play.
After the vassal, trade, and shrine improvements in 0.96, this update pushes deeper into the colony side of the game. Your economy now has a much stronger industrial backbone, with more crafting routes, more resource processing, better mine automation, and new late-game progression hooks that connect your production chain to long-term growth.
It is not just an economy update, though. Combat readability, resource gathering, mining tools, and UI polish have all received attention, so the game should feel clearer while you are defending, building, digging, and expanding.
Highlights:
Added a major industrial progression layer with new materials, recipes, mine landmarks, mine machines, advanced forge progression, and Combat Foundry upgrades.
Added Worldforge progression requirements and expanded late-game crafting routes with resources such as Prismite, Timestone, Titanstone, Steel, and Aethersteel.
Added mine automation systems and improved mine UI, making resource production easier to understand and manage.
Added the Enemy Threat Compass, giving clearer feedback about incoming danger during active defense.
Added input rebinding and a new key settings menu.
Added and polished mining and digging tools, including the Mining Bomb, branch fitting pricing, pipe/oil-flow improvements, dig cursor art, sand timer feedback, and digging stability fixes.
Upgraded the Mana Burst Vial so it now restores mana and releases a visible shockwave that damages and staggers nearby enemies.
Improved Fireball burn balance, including clearer damage behavior and stronger siege burn handling.
Reduced the Totem of Extraction credit cost and improved extraction rewards, making resource collection tools easier to use earlier.
Improved tower/pathing collision behavior, flying enemy handling, siege cleanup, interception handling, wave UI, tower tooltips, and starter loadouts.
Improved upgrade and trade UI, including clearer upgrade tree visuals, right-drag panning, trading port upgrade tree work, and several readability fixes.
Improved resource gathering cleanup so trees, fruit trees, food, and ore stop their effects cleanly when gathered, cancelled, or removed.
Added many new stability tests covering combat, mining, gathering, trading, vassals, pathfinding, UI, and progression systems.
Version 0.97 is focused on making the game feel more alive under the hood: bigger production chains, clearer combat signals, better mining tools, smoother controls, and fewer rough edges while building and defending your economy.
