changedOver the last month we’ve rolled out quite a few updates and wanted to share the patch notes with you so that you know what’s changed. The biggest change that you’ll probably notice is an overhaul to putter flight physics. Most of our beta testers agree that putters now feel much more natural to throw. Aside from that, there are a slew of visual changes, performance improvements, quality of life, user experience features, and general bug fixes. As always, we’d love to have you on our discord for your feedback to help us continue to improve upon the game!
fixedHot fix: bug resolved that could occasionally cause players to inadvertently get pushed in a direction and float away or move without moving
changedIn-game UI will now always spawn in the correct place at the front of your playspace even while moving AND if moving before your shot has landed. The score card will stay visible at the end of a hole until you either close it using a new “Close” button or until you select “Teleport to next shot” This also goes for the end of game scorecard in multiplayer that shows total tallies and winner(s). - Multiplayer: Fixed a bug that sometimes would cause multiplayer games not to show up in the list of available games. Fixed a bug that caused the map name for the last 3 maps to not update in the UI when creating a multiplayer match. - Some vegetation was updated for an additional performance boost
addedPhysics adjustments to some flight paths and power levels - The displayed power levels have been re-named to “Low Power, Average Power, High Power, Excess Power”. - Added some and changed the “next tee” signs - Solved issues with colliders and LOD’s on some of the walkable bridges - Updated more vegetation for performance, adjusted LOD’s - Various minor performance hiccups at certain points in game play have been eliminated - Some adjustments to baked lighting - Updated and adjusted terrain textures on some courses - Updated textures on some objects - Updated and improved resolution on some objects (such as rocks) in certain maps - Improved triangle count on some objects that could impact performance
fixedFixed a performance drop on the Build-A-Bag section of the loadout menu Improved colliders on most courses - Fixed some missing collider issues on the second course - Bug fix: chains can’t collide with UI elements - Bug fix: the time on your watch correctly switches from 12hr to 24hr clocks and vice versa when changed in settings - Metric/Imperial measurements on the basket map signs will update in real time when the setting is changed (instead of just at map load)
changedPutter physics overhaul - Discs ground bounce has been drastically toned down for putters and mid-range discs (and toned down a little for drivers) - Improved texture resolution on Quest, and vastly improved on Quest 2 (more changes to come, but, many textures are now very much improved) - Improved tree billboarding to make it less aliased and distracting (more changes to come on these later) - On Oculus controllers the menu button is now the left menu button on the controller (instead of B/Y) - To run/sprint you now only need to click once on the stick (instead of holding it down). It’s fine to hold it down still if you wish. - Smooth turn speed has been increased by
