We’d like to share a quick update on how Off the Beaten Track runs on Steam Deck.

While the game hasn’t gone through Valve’s official compatibility review yet, we’ve completed internal testing against the Steam Deck compatibility guidelines and are confident in the current experience.

Current status:

  • Fully playable with a gamepad (no keyboard or mouse required)

  • No manual setup required to start playing on Steam Deck

  • Designed with controller-first gameplay in mind

  • Default configuration provides a smooth, stable framerate

  • Runs at Steam Deck resolutions

  • UI is readable and comfortable on smaller screens

  • Local multiplayer works well on a single device

What we’re polishing:

  • Final performance and stability tweaks on Steam Deck

  • Additional UI refinements for maximum comfort

  • Minor adjustments ahead of official compatibility review

Our goal

We’re aiming to deliver a seamless, console-like experience on Steam Deck and are preparing the game for the official compatibility review.
