addedScenario EditorI also added a "Countries" panel that you can use to easily add countries to a scenario. This was a feature requested in one of the reviews of the game that I liked very much.
addedWars & EconomyI've added different types of troops such as Infantry, Tanks and Jets. These names get changed based on the scenario's date but their functionalities remain the same. Now you can just click on a front and see a head-to-head of two countries. Wars are now separated into two layers, ground and air, each very important.
changedWars & EconomyIn addition to how wars work, now there's a ledger that you can use to get some additional statistics of countries in the game.
changedWars & EconomyThere's also an economy system now. Countries need to build buildings to generate income and advance their technology and their economy. There are now two technologies only: Military Tech and Development Tech.
addedAI Studio & TutorialsThe game has been correctly criticised for the lack of tutorials for a long while. It was mostly a UI issue of not having the correct framework to create these interactive programming lessons. But now that I completely overhauled the UI this became a possibility, and I added programming lessons that teach you how to code in MiniScript from scratch.

Main Menu

Remember how sad things used to look and how confusing it was? Now the Main Menu just has 4 buttons and a slick animated background with the leaderboards always visible.

Scenario Editor

The same can be said about the Scenario Editor. It has been completely transformed to be as functional as possible. Now, scenarios just live inside the editor before you launch them — you can take a look at them and edit them before launching.

I also added a "Countries" panel that you can use to easily add countries to a scenario. This was a feature requested in one of the reviews of the game that I liked very much.

Some reviews also raised a good point saying that countries essentially feel similar in power, but now you can set how advanced a country is by using the sliders while editing or creating a country.

Wars & Economy

I've added different types of troops such as Infantry, Tanks and Jets. These names get changed based on the scenario's date but their functionalities remain the same. Now you can just click on a front and see a head-to-head of two countries. Wars are now separated into two layers, ground and air, each very important.

In addition to how wars work, now there's a ledger that you can use to get some additional statistics of countries in the game.

There's also an economy system now. Countries need to build buildings to generate income and advance their technology and their economy. There are now two technologies only: Military Tech and Development Tech.

AI Studio & Tutorials

The game has been correctly criticised for the lack of tutorials for a long while. It was mostly a UI issue of not having the correct framework to create these interactive programming lessons. But now that I completely overhauled the UI this became a possibility, and I added programming lessons that teach you how to code in MiniScript from scratch.

I also added a way to create scripts without even knowing how to code! With the "Designer" button you can create a script that plays the way you want it to play.

The Leaderboards have also changed. Now there are 3 categories. Germany, USA and Turkey. Each with their own leaderboards. I've also added some cheat detection methods.

Other

  • Loading times reduced

  • Some performance improvements for late game stutters

  • Chat feature removed, it wasn't popular and it was very hard for me to maintain.

  • Challenges removed, for the same reason above.
