First thing first: my daughter was born on January 13th! Just two days after my own birthday. She's healthy, cute and surprisingly quiet :D
I've been updating the game a few times a day since I released the Mechanic. There were a lot of new bugs that needed to be fixed as soon as I saw them (including the fact that for a few days new challenges could not be unlocked anymore..). At the same time, I've made some changes to the class following users' feedback and my own testing.
I didn't have time to make an actually update announcement, so I'm going to list here all the changes that have been made so far, including a few still unreleased features.
Additions:
(General) A new "Discovery Mode" added in the options: when this is turned ON, events will show a tooltip to tell you how to interact with them. OFF by default.
(General) A new system to show quick tips when encountering new mechanics or things that may need a few words to better understand. Currently implemented to explain the new Discovery Mode, will use this system for more things in the future.
(Card) Paintball
(UI) Added a "faded" version of each level in the levels map, to hint at the number of total levels, for new players.
(Event) Added Mechanic cards to the pool of usable cards on the Hurt Creature event.
Changes:
(Mechanic) Changed starting deck to include 1 Laser and one Tag cards.
(Status) Overheat will now damage Hull for 5 flat instead of 10%.
(General) Fancy Bottle cards were incorrectly set to not appear as rewards before level 3. Set now to appear from level 2. Additionally, Starting from level 2, if you don't own a Fancy Bottle, Spring Water or any pet, the shop will always offer a Fancy bottle in the Item cards tentacle (max once per level). These changes should heavily facilitate obtaining at least 1 pet before level 3.
(Sound) Changed the sound for wind element attacks.
(Music) Better volume balance for all the BGM.
(Event) The Breakable Globe event will now be damaged with the value exactly as shown for the "during combo" version of a card, and will include any additional effect like Double Damage Mark and Blessings like Black Flame. To balance this change, the needed damage to break it has been increased by 10.
(Event) Firepit will no longer have a small chance to give you a "Burn" affliction card.
(Cards) Added a new "Stock" attribute to Ancient Insight, Gourmet and Slot cards. These cards will now always generate a different card within the same fight. When there are no more different cards to generate, the card will be burned. This is to avoid stalling in search of HP related cards.
(Card) Decreased in combo cost for Deploy Rope to 1.
(Card) Decreased in combo cost for Dirty Tactics to 2.
(Card) Exhaust cost in combo reduced to 1. Also, removed its "Retreat" attribute.
(Card) Sauna's healing increased to 10x your Overheat value.
(Card) Changed Feint description to reflect the fact that a drawn card's cost is reduced to 0 only until used.
(Card) Plasma Cannon cost in combo decreased to 2. Also, required Overheat decreased to 10.
(Card) Laser combo value changed to 2.
(Blessing) Risk Of Poison will now stop poisoning you when you go over 2000 max HP.
(Blessing) Goosebumps moved to the "great" blessings pool.
(Blessing) Photosynthesis changed to give you 2 Strength every turn instead of every 3 turns.
(UI) When playing with a pad, the "x"
