fixedHeya! Thank you for playing the demo! And for finding and reporting a bunch of bugs — which we have now fixed . Some of those were… pretty unorthodox , like pulling a guest from their room just to shoot them in another one. But anyway, here are the patch notes, so you can enjoy the demo (and eventually the full game) without these annoyances!
changedChanges:Changed the Super Visitor’s smile in one of his sprites;
changedChanges:Changed the photo of a desktop near the phone to instead feature the photo of the Owner’s wife.
fixedFixes:On first launch, the demo turns on the Vsync by default, and sets display resolution as close to 1080p as possible, after accounting for your display’s dimensions (1920x1080 for 16:9, 1728x1090 for 16:10 and etc.). On any subsequent launches, the demo will still save any custom settings you might set.
fixedFixes:Fixed the issues with “Who You Gonna Call?” , “Family Dinner” and “Harsh Compromise” achievements;
removedFixes:You can no longer drink all the beer during item-use animation . Sorry, but turns out excessive drinking really is not good for you;

Patch Notes

Changes:

  • Changed the Super Visitor’s smile in one of his sprites;

  • Changed the photo of a desktop near the phone to instead feature the photo of the Owner’s wife.

Fixes:

  • On first launch, the demo turns on the Vsync by default, and sets display resolution as close to 1080p as possible, after accounting for your display’s dimensions (1920x1080 for 16:9, 1728x1090 for 16:10 and etc.). On any subsequent launches, the demo will still save any custom settings you might set.

  • Fixed the issues with “Who You Gonna Call?”, “Family Dinner” and “Harsh Compromise” achievements;

  • You can no longer drink all the beer during item-use animation. Sorry, but turns out excessive drinking really is not good for you;

  • The game no longer softlocks if you get a visit from the FEMA agent, while you have nobody else at your house. He’s just a human after all…

  • You can no longer “pull out” a guest from their room by quitting it while initiating the dialogue. As such, it’s also not possible to execute them in another room and get softlocked when returning to the guest’s original room;

  • The fridge and other similar interactables no longer become non-interactable if you spam Exit while opening the fridge;

  • The game no longer reads the first click on the window as a proper input, when bringing it back from being out-of-focus;

  • Initial fix for the cursor appearing in 3D parts of the game and blocking you from interactions. We’ve found one potential scenario of this happening, but couldn’t get it show up otherwise. So if you encounter it still — let us know.

Enjoy the demo and Steam Next Fest! And don’t forget to share your feedback with us. Cheers!
