Game Updates/Additions:

  • Enemies now show a short animation when they die rather than simply disappearing

  • There is now an intro/tutorial screen that plays once - it can also be reviewed in the settings screen

  • New sound effects for most game features

  • New music track added for Stage 1

  • Level up screen has been completely re-worked

  • A notification appears when players unlock new specializations

  • A notification appears after the first run to draw attention to the permanent upgrades

  • The mouse cursor now gets out of the way when playing with keyboard or gamepad (click anywhere to bring it back)

Game Balance changes:

  • Early wave enemies have had their speed reduced

  • Starting damage values have been increased for sword, shuriken, and clones

  • Starting damage values have been drastically increased for traps and dodging

  • Clones were missing too often and now throw 3 shuriken instead of 1

  • Damage upgrades have also been increased for all weapons

  • Damage now has a small amount of randomness/variation (between 5% and 10%)

  • All enemies have had their health rebalanced to account for increased player damage (but in general are easier to kill now)

  • The healing level up now just heals rather than also providing increased maximum health

  • Traps now last until triggered by an enemy, and new ones are also available every 5 seconds

  • Trap Frenzy Powerup now adds 10 additional traps and automatically deploys them

  • Clone Frenzy Powerup now adds 10 additional clones and automatically deploys them

  • Default range for emerald collection has been reduced

Many bug fixes including:

  • Powerups no longer expire during level up screen

  • Enemies no longer occasionally move when the game is paused

  • You only have to click the demo acknowledgement once ever now

  • The healing level up no longer appears if you have full health

  • You can now un-pause the game with gamepads (B on Xbox, O on PlayStation, etc)

  • Level Select has been changed to "Stage Select" to reduce ambiguity
