Update: Combat, Fleets, Outposts, and Interface Improvements
This update delivers a large collection of fixes and improvements across combat, mining, logistics, stations, and the user interface.
Leaders and Combat Doctrines
Leader and doctrine bonuses now apply consistently in regular and combined attacks, raids, field battles, outpost and station combat, pirate encounters, wormholes, and Rift Core battles.
Fixed bonus application in battles against detected covert mining fleets and other uncommon combat scenarios.
Battle reports now display leader bonuses to attack, hull strength, and shield regeneration separately.
Hull bonuses no longer heal damaged ships or restore destroyed units.
Shield regeneration bonuses correctly amplify existing regeneration but do not create regeneration without the required technology or effect.
Survey reward bonuses now apply to all rolled resources, including rerolled reward tiers and merchant quest investigations.
Allied Defenders
Allied garrison ships now use their owner’s research, advanced combat effects, doctrines, and carrier configuration.
Planet and outpost owner bonuses no longer incorrectly affect allied ships.
This has been corrected for regular attacks, raids, combined operations, and outpost defense.
Allied survivors and repairable losses are now returned to the correct owner and garrison.
Planetary Defenses
Planetary defenses now prioritize targets that are already damaged.
Targeting considers both missing shields and hull damage.
Defenses continue focusing damaged ships throughout the same firing pass.
Civilian ships remain protected by their combat escorts.
Regular fleet weapons continue to use their standard targeting rules.
Carriers
Carrier defense configurations are no longer limited to 100 ships per individual role.
More than 100 units can be assigned when enough carriers are physically present on the planet.
The server now validates the total number of assigned ships.
Outdated or invalid configurations are safely limited to the number of available carriers.
Shields and Attacks
The confirmation shown when dropping reinforced planetary protection now clearly explains the one-hour reinforcement lockout.
If the owner drops protection to launch a hostile mission, reinforcement cannot be restored for 60 minutes.
Concurrent battles can no longer incorrectly reactivate or extend protection.
Field attacks now have the same minimum two-minute travel time as regular attacks and raids.
Outposts
Fixed cases where an outpost could survive after a successfully resolved battle.
Improved concurrent battle handling and persistence of surviving defenders.
Destroying an outpost now creates a collectible debris field.
Debris contains 50% of the Engineer Ship cost, paid outpost levels and buildings, any upgrade currently in progress, and stored resources.
Standard debris from ships destroyed during the battle is added as well.
Supported debris resources include Ore, Silicates, Hydrogen, Alloys, Cryo Ice, Quantum Dust, Plasma Cores, Bio-Extract, and Dark Matter.
Outpost debris is initially visible to battle participants and can be collected using the normal debris collection system.
Mining pirate raid reports now show turret level, salvos per round, turret damage, and the exact amount of damage absorbed by the outpost shield.
The next Extractor upgrade cost is now visible directly in the outpost interface.
Mining and Logistics
Cargo Expansion now increases mining holds as well as regular ship cargo capacity.
Missions and reports now show actual capacity after research and other relevant bonuses.
Damaged mining ships cannot extract resources, but their holds can still carry resources on the return journey.
Existing mining missions already in progress remain compatible with the updated calculations.
Logistics Hubs no longer dispatch multiple identical fleets to collect the same resource shipment.
Once cargo has been collected, another route may proceed without waiting for the previous fleet to return home.
Regular one-way supply routes can still be dispatched without unnecessary restrictions.
Fleets and Exploration
Resource transfers now warn players when the destination planet’s current storage cannot hold the entire shipment.
The check covers both common and rare resources. Players may still confirm and send the shipment.
Long-term foreign stealth surveillance no longer permanently prevents a colony from being abandoned. The observing fleet will be safely recalled.
Fleets currently inside wormholes are now displayed in the active fleet overview.
The Wormholes tab now shows a badge when newly detected active wormholes are available.
Returning xenoarchaeology expeditions now create permanent reports listing recovered resources, precursor fragments, and unidentified artifacts.
Expeditions that return empty are also recorded.
If station access is lost during a return or repair operation, ships are redirected to the player’s homeworld instead of the inaccessible station.
Stations
Station turrets now participate in both solo and combined station battles.
Turrets defend the station’s owner, but will not protect an enemy fleet currently occupying that station.
The station interface now displays the turrets’ total attack and hull strength.
Virtual turret units are no longer recorded as lost ships and do not generate additional debris.
The interface no longer allows another station upgrade to be started while an upgrade is already in progress.
Interface and Quality of Life
Galaxy zoom buttons now preserve the center of the current view instead of moving the camera toward the center of the galaxy.
On mobile devices, undiscovered systems are slightly brighter at close zoom levels. Their size and appearance at the initial galaxy scale remain unchanged.
Debris and salvage collection windows no longer change height when cargo capacity warnings appear.
Market order exchange rates are visible again on mobile screens.
Galaxy bookmarks can now be created without a note, and notes may contain up to 500 characters.
Dismissing an incoming attack banner now keeps it dismissed when fleet data refreshes. The mission remains visible in the Fleet interface.
Fixed incorrect alliance member counts on the rankings page.
Replaced misleading advisor text that assumed an early expedition had been successful.
Removed the incorrect claim that Dead Space cannot be colonized from all available localized versions of the manual.
Important: Station Capture Rework
The full station capture rework is not being enabled with this update.
Alliance Leaders and Deputies may only preconfigure the starting time of their daily four-hour vulnerability window in CET.
This setting will not affect station capture until the rework is enabled separately.
Developer Note: Station Vulnerability Windows & Planetary Defense
Station Vulnerability Windows
Alliance Leaders and Deputies now have 24 hours to configure their alliance’s daily four-hour station vulnerability window.
The new station capture system is not active yet. This preparation period allows alliances to select their preferred window before the system is enabled.
Full details of the new station system, including how vulnerability windows and station battles will work, will be published later today.
Planetary Defense Balance
I have also taken the next step toward strengthening planetary defenses.
Fleet composition now matters considerably more in both attack and defense. Mixed fleets will have a more meaningful role in absorbing damage, protecting valuable ships, and breaking through planetary defenses. Choosing the right combination of ships will become increasingly important compared with relying on a single ship type.
