Today, we are announcing the first act of the campaign for NEBULOUS: Fleet Command. It's set to release on May 29, 2026.
Here's the release trailer:
The campaign spans 16 missions across 3 zones, with a boss battle at the end of each zone. Its story is told through fully voice-acted scenes during gameplay, in-engine cutscenes, and hand-drawn animatics.
Player ammunition use, fuel, and damage persist from mission to mission, extending the resource management of NEBULOUS across many battles. Destroyed enemy ships can also be boarded, so their ammunition can be taken to keep your fleet stocked up as you advance.
The newly added Worden class fleet carrier serves as the player's flagship. Massive space station megastructures appear throughout the campaign as both objectives to disable and resources to live off the land. With the exception of Caltrop, all 16 missions feature unique new maps built specifically for their mission needs.
This first act is designed to get new players accustomed to the gameplay and mechanics of NEBULOUS, with each successive mission introducing new and distinct challenges as new enemy ship types appear. The campaign also supports multiplayer co-op for up to 10 players.
The campaign editor tools used to create the official campaign will ship with the update. These tools are powerful and user-friendly, allowing players to tell their own stories with no modding skills required.
See you in the battlespace, The NEBULOUS Team
