Gladiators!

The alpha test is finally live. You can now step into the arena, test your skills and show us the real champion. Make sure you have these checked off your list: you’ve applied for the alpha, downloaded the client, have your favorite drink by your side. Now you’re all set for some action! Remember we talked about the very first Battle Pass in NCORE? All the rewards you’ll get in the “Path of the Gladiator” during the alpha will be credited to your accounts after the game release.

Please note, the alpha test runs a very early stage of the game. You can still encounter some bugs and inconsistencies, some mechanics and features, like the characters, weapons, maps, and so on, might be changed in the future.

We’re looking forward to your feedback and opinions! It’ll help us make the game better.

How can you leave us your feedback?

NCORE known issues

Here’s a list of some of the common issues and their solutions. It can expand as we fix the current problems and find new ones. If you encounter any technical issues, please, contact our support. Click Show more to expand the section.

I don’t see the game in my Steam library

  • The access to the alpha test is granted by request. Please, make sure that you’ve applied to the test on our store page.

  • After your request has been approved, you’ll see an item called NCORE Playtest in your library. If you’ve received a notification to your email but still can’t see the game on Steam, please, contact our tech support.

When launching the game, a pop-up appears "Allow this app to make changes to your device?"

This is a standard notification from the Windows security system. When you install a new game or application and launch it for the first time, the system might request admin access to make changes (like, install files, modify them, or access antivirus whitelists). Click “Yes” for the game to start correctly.

When launching the game, a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error pops up

  1. Visit the Microsoft website and install the last Visual C++ version.

  2. To learn about your system’s bit version:

    1. right mouse click on Start, then System;

    2. in the System Type section you’ll see your OS’ bit version: 32 (x86) or 64 (x64);

    3. if you use Windows 11, you can just download the 64-bit Visual C++ distributable, as the 32-bit version isn’t supported anymore.

The game crashes with an Unreal Engine error

If the game client crashes or an error window, like the one below, pops up, please click Send and Restart and send the NCORE.log file to the support. It’s located in this directory: %LocalAppData%\\NCORE\\Saved\\Logs.

Errors on PCs with Intel 13/14 processors

If you use an Intel processor of the 13th/14th generation, you may encounter some game instability, low VRAM warnings, or errors in shader compilations.

To solve this, we recommend updating the BIOS to the latest version following the instructions from Intel or your motherboard manufacturer.

If the gaming process remains unstable, please complete the following steps.

  1. Download and install Intel XTU. Restart your device and open the application.

  2. Lower the Performance Core Ratio by 2–3 steps. For example, you can set it from 55x to 53x.

  3. Apply the changes. Now you can start the game.

If the problem persists or you can’t complete these steps, please contact our tech support.

Monitor flickering

  1. Please make sure that your video card drivers are up to date.

  2. Go to the main menu (by clicking Esc), then go to settings and pick the Video tab above. Set the window mode setting to “borderless”.

The game doesn’t register keyboard and/or mouse input

  1. Try pressing the Alt+Tab key combination a few times to switch to a different window then back to the game. This might help restore the input registration.

  2. If the previous method doesn't work, try using the Win+D combination to minimize all windows. Then, open the game by clicking on it in the task bar.

  3. If the second solution doesn’t work, open the Task manager by clicking Ctrl+Alt+Del, pick the game process, right mouse click on it and pick “End Task”. Then restart the game.

Other known issues that don’t affect the gameplay

We’re aware of these issues and are working on fixing them.

  1. The Tutorial footage that plays upon the game start isn’t adapted to wide-screen monitors (the image stretches out).

  2. The successful tutorial completion reward icons aren’t showing up (instead, you see black squares). The rewards themselves are received correctly.

  3. The game stats of the player profile in the Statistics section doesn’t change, although the player has played a few matches. They will update after a restart.

  4. The ranking table is empty or doesn’t update. Currently, the Ranking section is being updated once daily, at around 1:00 UTC.

  5. In some cases, the weapon progression might be displayed incorrectly. We're aware of the issue and are working on it. If you encounter this bug, please contact the tech support.

See you in the game!
