NAPOLEON: RULE OF IRON changes
Today I am publishing the first gameplay footage of NAPOLEON: RULE OF IRON. It shows the battle of Austerlitz in 1:1 scale. It demonstrates the core gameplay mechanics, some of the AI features and also a bit of the campaign.
You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfEb9YCn1yA
At the beginning of each battle there is a briefing with Napoleon and one of his marshals. They discuss the battle and potential strategies.
Then the first thing that happens in every battle is that Napoleon holds a speech. These are based on actual historical recordings (note that these were typically given out to be read by officers, not Napoleon himself because of the size of the armies, but in a game this is much more epic).
Then the player deploys, afterwards the AI. The AI organizes its unit into Corps that it dynamically assigns depending on how the player moves his forces. This makes it very smart and it also makes it possible to perform historical strategies and make them actually work as you can see in this video.
I will go more into detail in future posts. For now enjoy the video.
If you like what you see, please wishlist the game and share the video.
