addedIn the form of a new currency comes a new mechanic – Soulshards. These valuable pieces of your defeated foes are granted with each won battle. With various distinct uses, such as developing your character, creating or upgrading Damneds, or playing cards during battle, without activating enemy retaliation, Soulshards force you to choose wisely. Will you use them to safely get out of a spicy pickle or risk dying and unlock new powerful abilities later?
addedThe newest update brings the first iteration of the Character Development system, which allows you to upgrade your character abilities. As teased in Devlog #12, your skills are going to be arranged in a pentagram scheme. To purchase new perks, you’ll have to reach into your stash of Soulshards, while being on a freshly added Rest node.
changedBuild up your Strength to improve the base damage of your cards, increase your base Hitpoints or Armor, or elevate your Will or Domination to use the help of powerful support souls!
removedWorry not, Sinner, as you no longer have to be alone! To aid you in your struggle, now you may find The Damneds – the tormented souls of recognizable individuals such as Emperor Nero, Attila the Hun, or even Friedrich Nietzsche. Each of those has a unique ability to impact the battlefield. It can be anything from a convenient buff to a powerful ability.
addedAside from finding them on the map, by using a new type of node – Anvil of Souls – you’ll be able to create or upgrade your companions, or if you don’t feel like it, just sell them for additional Soulshards.

New Map, New Visuals, New VFXes & SFXes
The heat of Hell is now harder to endure than ever! The map scene has been fundamentally redrawn to better fit the vision of our artists. We’ve applied several improvements to our battle scene. Along with the new visual and sound special effects, we adjusted the background to be better related to the map, and better show the vision of hell of our artists.
