Hello Slavic Builders!
Today we'd like to introduce you to Leshen, whom you could already see in the trailer of Mythos: Slavic Builder.
The forest was one of the most important elements in the life of ancient Slavs. It met their basic needs - it was a source of food and wood for building shelters. But on the other hand it was also scary - wild predators and dense thickets where it was easy to get lost meant that people often did not return from the woods.
The Slavs believed that this duality of the forest materialized in the form of Leshen (the forest man or the forest keeper). Leshen looked like a man who was a part of the woods, he took care of the trees and grazed the forest animals, in which he was helped by his subordinate wolves. He could jealously protect his domane, or help people when he felt like it.
In Mythos: Slavic Builder, forests also help to provide the player's settlement with a supply of basic resources for survival, and some of them may belong to a Leshen. Would you try to stand up to Leshen and his wolves? Or maybe you’d rather make regular sacrifices on his altar to win the favor of the protector of the forest, permission to use his goods, or even an offer to join your party?
