Mycelium Conquest changes
Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis free co-op playtest is live — and your friends are invited.
Think of Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis as a Friend's Pass: a free, co-op-only companion app to the full game. The playtest is open now and runs through July 8. You own the full game, so you host — and your friends download it for free, join your session, and crash-land on the alien world of Xenoterris with you. No purchase needed for them to play.
Wishlist for the full release — July 10
The playtest ends July 8, but Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis gets its full free release on July 10. Tell your friends to wishlist it now so they're ready the moment it launches.
How to host & join
Co-op runs on a short lobby code — no Steam invite needed, so it works whether you own the full game or your friends are on the free Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis app.
To host (you):
From the main menu, choose CO-OP → HOST GAME.
A 6-character lobby code is generated and copied to your clipboard (for example, `A3F-K92`).
Share the code with your friends — paste it into Discord, Steam chat, or any message.
When everyone's in the lobby, hit START. (You'll need at least one friend to begin.)
To join (your friends):
Download Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis
free on Steam: Mycelium Conquest Mitosis
Open it and choose JOIN GAME.
Enter or paste the lobby code (the app auto-fills a code it finds on the clipboard).
They land in your lobby — ready to play.
Friends join while you're in the lobby. Once a session is underway they can reconnect if they drop, but new players can't jump in mid-game.
Only a paid host can save the session
Anyone can host a co-op session — but to save it and come back later, the host must own the full game, Mycelium Conquest. A session hosted from the free Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis app can't be saved; it lives only as long as it's running. So to keep your shared world, host it from your full game.
Grow or Die — Together
Crash-land as a living fungal organism and grow a sprawling mycelial network. Hunt alien creatures, consume local flora, and evolve across 5 stages — from a fragile spore to a cosmic entity that devours worlds.
Build, Automate, Defend — Together
Every connected player can build. Split the work, specialize your roles, and turn the wilderness into a living machine. Construct biological production chains, automate everything, and hold the line against escalating waves of hostile creatures. The bigger your network, the bigger the threats — and the bigger the fights you can survive with friends at your side.
A note on the free edition
Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis is co-op only: no single-player, no Steam achievements, and no Steam Cloud. The free app itself can't save — but a host who owns the full game can save and resume the co-op session (see above). Want saves, achievements, or solo play? The full game **Mycelium Conquest** has all of that — and your session carries over when you upgrade.
Spread the spores.
Send your friends the Mycelium Conquest: Mitosis playtest today, host from your full game to save your world, and have them wishlist for the July 10 full release. See you on Xenoterris.
