My Necromancer's Library changes
After a short primary playtest on itch and initial bugfixing, the playtest is now live on Steam as well!
The build currently only covers the core library gameplay and your feedback will be invaluable in shaping and improving this aspect of the game further! So please consider filling out the feedback form that is linked in the build or sending us feedback over the Steam Community!
General:
No combat gameplay
Only the prologue setting, story is incomplete
No Event Planning, though a scripted event will appear
No shops or progression
Because of that there's basically no impact of Renown or Money
Low amount of decoration options
No visual day-night-cylce
The Book Cleaning Gameplay is very rudimentary, without any audio or visual fx. We are in fact currently in the process of redeising the book repair system and consolidating it with the cleaning gameplay.
Controller Support & Accessibility
Very basic controller support has been added but it is still wonky and might require mouse use at times
Settings are very limited in the playtest build, and there is currently no button remapping. We do have a longer list of planned accessibility and quality of life options, but they take time to properly implement.
Saving/Loading:
Only one save file
Save game issues are likely, especially if saving any other time than when going to bed, as this feature is WIP.
For that reason, save files will definitely not be transferable for future builds
Visuals:
Some clothing and hair options on the player have issues during certain animations
Some visuals are still placeholder or WIP
NPCs:
The playtest features 11 NPCs, each of which is currently allowed to spawn multiple times due to the low amount of NPCs. This will change once we have a larger amount of NPCs animated.
