We’re incredibly excited (and a little emotional, honestly) to welcome you to the world of Mukti, our indie narrative game that’s been years in the making.

What is MUKTI?

MUKTI is a deeply personal narrative exploration game set in a fictional Indian museum. You play as Arya, who steps into this world looking for answers and what she finds is a story far bigger, darker and more human than she expected.

At its core, MUKTI is about liberation - from systems, from silence and from stories that were never told. It's a first-person exploration game set against the rich tapestry of Indian heritage, offering players a deep dive into a mystery that bridges the past with the present. As Arya Roy, you return to Mumbai, driven by concern for your grandfather, Vikram Roy, only to find him missing. What begins as a search for a beloved family member evolves into a gripping investigation into a controversial excavation trip in the Sundarbans, West Bengal, where Vikram hoped to uncover artefacts from the Pala Dynasty.

Why This Game? Why India?

A lot of the world knows India through stereotypes - spiritual tourism, loud colors, slums, scams, snake charmers and biryani.

But India is also memory, architecture, forgotten genius, ancient science, modern tragedy and untold resistance. We wanted to make a game that doesn’t caricature - but brings you closer to a world we know intimately.

A story where the silence of a corridor tells you more than a thousand lines of dialogue.
