Hello everyone!

What changed

  • Performance
  • Gameplay
  • Balance
  • Server
changedFaster First Launch : Optimized shader compilation on first launch, cutting the wait time by up to 40% (tested on minimum spec hardware). No more staring at a loading screen for too long before you get into Starlight Studios.
addedNew: In-World Maps : You'll now find physical map panels scattered around the building. Interact with one to pull up a widget showing the full building layout and where you're standing. No pause menu, no hand-holding: find them if you explore, use them if you need to.
addedLog Notifications : New entries in the Information log now show a badge with the number of unread entries, so nothing important slips past you.
addedAccessibility : Added an option to display a stamina bar for anyone who'd rather have a clear visual cue than rely on the chromatic aberration effect that currently signals low stamina.
addedIf you haven't already, come hang out on the brand-new LARAKI Interactive Discord Server . It's the best place to report bugs, ask questions about development, or just chat with people who are into this kind of game.

A note on what's next

This will be the last update to the demo for the foreseeable future. We're shifting our full focus to finishing the complete game, so the demo won't be actively maintained or patched for a while. It's not going anywhere, and it's still a solid representation of what Mr. Grin's Final Act is about, but our energy from here on out is going into the full release. That said, if a critical bug shows up that seriously breaks the experience, we'll still step in to fix it.

A massive thank you to everyone who's playtested, created content, or just given the demo a shot so far. Every bit of feedback has shaped this update and will keep shaping the full game.
