Movies Tycoon changes
After months of hard work—and alongside our biggest update yet, version 2.1 we’re excited to announce and launch our very first content expansion:
Dawn of Cinema
This expansion was voted for and chosen by you, the community! A huge thank you to everyone who participated—and if you haven’t already, we invite you to check out our public roadmap:

About the Expansion
Dawn of Cinema lets you play through the golden era of film history— from the 1920s to the 1970s —and then continue into the future! Expect new buildings, vintage props, and a period-appropriate environment to immerse yourself in.
Here’s what’s included:
8 new set locations to shoot your movies in
Over 50 new clothing and hairstyle options for your characters
Era-specific camera technologies that evolve over time:
Start with silent, black-and-white cameras using written dialogue
Transition to black-and-white film with sound
Move into early color film
And finally, unlock the modern camera system
All of these camera options are fully available in the movie editor, so you can take full creative control and style your films with historical accuracy.
We hope you enjoy this new content as much as we enjoyed creating it! We’re continuing to work on both free and paid content updates, so stay tuned, and thank you for your ongoing support!
