Repeated intro
Hello everyone!
What changed
- Gameplay
- Fixes
- Events
Another update is arriving during this scorching summer! Wherever you are in the world, we hope you're staying safe, hydrated and away from melting PCs.😄
Meanwhile, development continues and here's what we've been working on recently.
Reported Issues Fixed
✅ Confirm Selection Button Feedback
Some of you reported that the"Confirm (Projections) Selection"button appeared not to work. You need to save the game first, then write the report.
The action was actually being executed correctly, but there was no clear visual feedback. We've now improved this so it's much clearer when your choice has been confirmed.
✅ Bug Report Notification
Another issue concerned the in-game bug reporting system. Good news: we were always receiving your reports correctly!
The problem was that the confirmation feedback wasn't properly displayed on your side. This has now been fixed, so you'll receive clearer confirmation when a report is successfully sent. (below the Enter key, but also as a notification).
Thank you to everyone who keeps helping us track down bugs!
🤖 AI Improvements
And no... not the kind of AI everyone talks about these days. 😄
We're talking about the intelligence of our NPCs!
We've continued improving their behavior and decision-making to make staff and visitors react more naturally throughout the cinema.
🚨 Fire System Reminder
A quick reminder about the fire system we recently introduced.
When your projector or Magic Lantern reaches maximum wear and catches fire, you now have several options:
🔥 Ignore it
Lose income.
Disrupt screenings.
Potentially head toward bankruptcy.
🚒 Call the firefighters ← Gaspard dovrebbe apparire agitato… Ma,
Watch your employees attempt a more creative solution first.
The fire may be extinguished, but the projector will still be damaged. So…
💸 Delete and buy a brand-new projector: Expensive, but effective. Or….
🔧 Repair it: Right-click on the damaged projector (when it was extinguished by the flames) and select the new"Repair It"button. It costs money, but it's better for the environment. 😉
In any case, remember that you'll need to reschedule the movies! So, save yourself the hassle and keep an eye on the wear and tear on your equipment.
❓Community Question: Lucilla
We need your help investigating something.
Lucilla is... a rather unique employee. Have any of you noticed that she occasionally refuses to work after a certain number of hours? If that happens to you, pick it up and put it back in its place at work, or… Giving her a break seems to improve the situation, but we're still investigating whether this is intended behavior, a personality trait, or a bug.
Let us know what happens in your cinemas!
🐱 The Long-Awaited Surprise Has Arrived!
Yes. The cat is finally here. Meet Tom (or Haru - the Cat of our 2D artist!) 🐾
You can now "hire" the cat during the 1900 era to help deal with the mice invading your cinema. This is the first version of the feature, and we'd love to hear what you think.
In the next update we'll continue improving:
Haru's mouse-catching jumps (animations and behaviors).
Textures and additional details
Interactions.
Because every great cinema deserves a great cat.
