Monsters of Kanji 2 changes
Hey everyone,
First of all: Thanks again to everyone who has supported my little indie-dev journey so far. While I know that Monsters of Kanji isn't up there with the most impressive games, it really means a lot to me that there actually are people who do get some enjoyment out of it :)
2020 has most definitely been a strange year. And I noticed that my work on Monsters of Kanji 2 was influenced by this quite a bit. I never really stopped making progress, but there where times when my creativity went downhill. Now that I'm way beyond what I initially imagined to be the release window for the next update to Monsters of Kanji 2, I finally wanted to share some news about it.
Let's get going with this: MONSTERS OF KANJI 2 - update to version 0.3 is slated for release on January 31, 2021.
As always I want to highlight that I can't be sure I'm gonna finish in time, but so far it looks pretty good. Alright, here's what you should know about v.0.3:
A new planet will be added to the game: QRIAZ, the space station planet.
Unlike WELAXX and U'FORRIA, QRIAZ is inhabited by a huge amount of creatures - they are called: QRI. This means lots of NPCs, lore and sidequests.
More than 20 new monsters will be available to fight, scan and add to your party.
QRIAZ is by far the most story focused planet yet. Two big fractions are competing with each other over the strange power of THE SEED and it's up to MARTY and his friends to find out the truth about this conflict.
Another new suit upgrade will be added. It can be bought at DING'S CURIOSITIES, along with several other interesting items
The level cap will be raised to level 30
You should be able to use your previous savegame and jump into exploring QRIAZ without any problems. Really hope this will work out...
The price of the Steam Early Access version of Monsters of Kanji 2 won't be increased yet! However, once the update drops I feel like I'm at a point where the amount of content suits the current price tag. If the game's quality is worth it yet... that's for you to decide :)
Thanks again to all of you! Stay healthy and stay safe! Your sleepy racoon
