I'm the solo dev behind Monster Mayhem, a cartoon-style roguelike survivor-like that just launched on Steam.
Before release, I had around 3,000 wishlists and worked hard on the page, trailer, and game itself. But after launch... only 14 sales and 0 reviews in the first 24 hours. It honestly hurt. I know it's hard to get visibility as an indie, but I was hoping for more.
I'm not writing this to complain, I just want to be honest about the reality many solo devs face. And also to let you know: I'm not giving up.
I’ll keep updating the game, improving the experience, and trying to understand what went wrong and what can be better. If you're one of the few people who bought the game: THANK YOU 🙏 You're early supporters and I genuinely want your feedback.
If you're just discovering this now and are curious, I'd love to hear what you think. The price is low, the game is short and intense, and I made it with love (and lots of stress).
