MONSTER CARDS Ver.0.23

Introduction

Thank you for always playing MONSTER CARDS! In this update, we have officially added support for Mac and Steam Deck.

In addition, we have made significant improvements to deck editing features, making deck management and creation more comfortable and intuitive than ever.

We have also implemented various minor improvements and balance adjustments, including skill tuning. Please take a moment to check out the full update details!

MONSTER CARDS Ver.0.23 Patch Notes

New Features & Additions

• Now officially supported on Mac and Steam Deck!

  More players can now enjoy MONSTER CARDS across a wider range of environments!

• Deck File Selection in MONSTER CARDS BINDER

  You can now select your deck from a dedicated screen.

  

  ※To use this feature, you must select “MONSTER CARDS BINDER” in the card selection tool settings.

• Key Card Setting for Decks

  You can now set a card to be prominently displayed when viewing your deck.

  This does not affect gameplay.

  ※If not set, or for existing decks, the card with the highest cost will be automatically selected.

• Card Sorting in Deck Editing

  You can now sort your deck using various sorting methods.

• EX Card Viewing in Deck Editing

  By selecting “EX Cards” from the sorting options, you can view the EX cards included in your deck.

  

• New Deck Regulation “PERFECT” Added

  A regulation where you battle using a 20-card deck consisting of one card each for every combination of rarity (C to UR) and attack values (1–5).

• New Deck Restriction: “Duplicate Skill Limit”

  You can now set a limit on how many cards with the same skill can be included in a deck.

• External Import Folder Settings

  You can now add additional folders for loading .card and .deck files, while keeping the default save location unchanged.

  ※When a folder is set, a folder named “MonsterCards” will be automatically created, and files within that folder will be included as import targets.

  ※Some special paths may not work correctly.

• Attack Value Reroll Added to Card Creation

Game Balance Adjustments

Skills

【Card of Basic】

• Dodge

  New SP: Now triggers when the attack value is 4 or higher, instead of 2 or lower.

• Return

  New ULT: Increases damage dealt on attack by 1. If this attack defeats a player, return this card to your hand.

• Reverse

  New ULT: Heal all players by 1. Then, return all cards in the offense zone to their owners' hands, ignoring zone locks, and immediately end the turn.

• Ruin

  New ULT: When attacking a player with 3 or more cards in hand, gain short-hand advantage (+1).

【Card of Advanced】

• Trapper

  New ULT: Increase the number of traps added to 2. Before adding traps, return all traps in your hand to the deck.

【Card of Sunrise】

• Bushido

  New: When this card moves to the attack zone, lock the attack zone until it successfully attacks at least once.

【Card of Horror】

• Severance

  New ULT: This card’s attacks ignore effects that negate damage and effects that trigger in response to damage. Additionally, when the attack succeeds, send the top 3 cards of the opponent’s graveyard to the afterlife.

【Card of Inspiration】

• Fealty

  New: Heal 1. If this card is taken unilaterally by another player, negate its effect.

  New SP: Also negates exchange effects initiated by other players when this card becomes a target.

  New ULT: While this card is in your hand, it can also negate such effects even when activated by other cards. Also negates exchange effects when targeted by another player.

• Manufacture

  Spec Change: Can now be used as a fusion material.

EXT Skills

• Lightning

  Adjusted the damage mechanics so that it can sometimes result in a devastating strike.

• Return

  Adjusted in line with changes to its ULT effect.

• Ruin

  Adjusted in line with changes to its ULT effect.

• Parry

  Adjusted to make it easier to attempt parries without hesitation.

• Fealty

  Reworked to focus on protecting your own cards.

Important Changes

• Revised the data format of card images in online matches, resulting in clearer visuals. ※Due to the improved image quality, data usage may increase.

• A limit has been added to the number of dice rolled during dice attacks. (Maximum: 18)

• The deck file specifications have been updated. As a result, deck file sizes are now larger than before.
