addedHey all! Danny here with the latest updates. It's been a busy month, getting all these fixes together, and there's even some interesting new controller-based features I think you'll all like a lot. Let's dive in and see what's new!
addedSupport for Multiple ControllersIn the Main Menu, if you go into Options > Gameplay, you'll notice a new “Selected Controller” option. This option will change your controller to the next attached controller when you select it, and loop back around to the first if there are no more found. This is VERY useful if you have multiple controllers attached and want to use a specific one, as this shows the controller's name as well as its device number.
changedSupport for Multiple ControllersDisconnect controllers you don't want to use.
changedSome Nice FixesAs is tradition with The Last Exhibit update, the bug fixes have been fairly edge-case. For instance, more fixes have been implemented for Mondrian Studio thumbnails saved at Maximized resolution but with the window being... not maximized. Also fullscreen thumbnails got some fixes too. One-color backgrounds will now show up on the Main Menu again. Stamping Blocks in Mondrian Maker with color shuffle off should now apply their painted color, as intended. And on and on.
changedSome Windows 11 IssuesAbout a year ago, a patch was released for Windows 11 which can prevent applications from writing to the AppData\\Roaming directory. Unfortunately, this is where Mondrian stores its content, so if you're on the latest version of Windows 11, there's a chance you'll have what amounts to an empty and broken game when you run it for the first time. Luckily, I've implemented a function for the game to load content from the install folder if the Local Content folder is empty, but if you want to build levels in Mondrian Maker , you will probably have to use the Export function to save it to a different folder and then move it back into the local content folder yourself. Alternately, you can check to make sure the game has the appropriate write permissions set.
changedPlan for the SummerWith any luck, now's the chance to step back, get Mondrian into some more bundles (check out the One More Brick bundle if you haven't!); make some more Mondrian Moments for the YouTube , TikTok , and Instagram channels; and start some actual work on the physical edition of the game. I will be making this available on CD, possibly just in a jewel case, but possibly also included with The Definitive Guide to Mondrian Maker and Mondrian Studio in a sleeve inside the front cover. I'll post more updates on this when I have them.

Support for Multiple Controllers
In the Main Menu, if you go into Options > Gameplay, you'll notice a new “Selected Controller” option. This option will change your controller to the next attached controller when you select it, and loop back around to the first if there are no more found. This is VERY useful if you have multiple controllers attached and want to use a specific one, as this shows the controller's name as well as its device number.
Please note that if you're using Steam Input, your controller will still display as “Xbox 360 Controller for Windows,” and due to how Steam Input takes over your controllers, you may not be able to scrub through them as designed. This is an unfortunate engine limitation as the Steamworks plugin was created before Steam Input was a thing, so I've been unable to pull the number of controllers from or set the active controller in Steam Input itself. If you have multiple controllers attached and would like to use a specific one, there are still a few options:
Choose the primary controller for Mondrian under its Steam Input settings.
Disconnect controllers you don't want to use.
Disable Steam Input for the game. Please make sure you have the appropriate drivers for your controllers installed so they can be read as Xinput devices.

Oh, and Mondrian's monthly sale is next week! 90% off as usual. 80-something percent for Abstraction in Beauty too. Basically both games are gonna be $1 for a short time so it's a good time to get it for your friends if you haven't.
All that said though I am hoping to spend the majority of the Summer in Godot working on the newest project, rather than back in Fusion on Mondrian bug fixes. But, bugs DO happen, and you know how important it is for me to get them fixed, so if you run into any, please let me know.
Enjoy the update, and as always, thank you for playing!
