Modern Warships is confidently moving toward its Steam release and entering a new stage of development. The project is growing rapidly: the arsenal and fleet continue to expand, and December 2025 brings a whole wave of fresh content. 🛳️ Submarine ROKS Jang Yeong-sil

Role: Stealthy multirole submarine Steam post imageROKS Jang Yeong-sil is a modern diesel-electric submarine that uses lithium-ion batteries, allowing it to remain submerged longer and maintain high speed without surfacing. As a result, it operates more quietly and is harder to detect. The submarine is equipped with ten vertical launch cells designed to carry either cruise missiles or submarine-launched ballistic missiles.

The introduction of this new South Korean submarine highlights the growing importance of multirole underwater platforms capable of adapting to any combat conditions. Thanks to fully interchangeable armament and support for multiple missile types, players gain not a narrowly specialized “hunter,” but a flexible tool suited for a wide range of scenarios—from stealthy flanking strikes to long-range missile pressure on the enemy team.

ROKS Jang Yeong-sil is a modern, versatile submarine platform that can become a powerful weapon in the hands of a skilled captain. It rewards thoughtful tactics and a well-chosen loadout, but does not forgive carelessness or poor preparation. Gameplay aboard the new Indonesian battleship largely follows the familiar class philosophy: a single concentrated salvo can deal such devastating damage that opponents often have no choice but to retreat in panic and hope to survive long enough for repairs—if their allies allow them to withdraw at all. However, the ship’s true uniqueness lies not only in its firepower, but in its technological sophistication.

This battleship is a true benchmark of what the class could look like in the realities of modern warfare. Its main strength is versatility: there is virtually no surface, underwater, or aerial target that KRI Nusantara cannot engage. This makes it not just powerful, but genuinely dangerous in the hands of an experienced captain.

The ship is equipped with a modern diesel-gas turbine propulsion system and features relatively low displacement, granting it impressive speed. Compact dimensions, the use of stealth technologies, and a flexible modular weapons architecture make this frigate an effective asset for forward-area operations.

The new Japanese frigate offers an intriguing blend of traditional design elements—such as a substantial artillery suite—and modern naval warfare requirements, expressed through a powerful missile battery with a formidable alpha strike. This hybrid approach allows the ship to perform successfully across a wide range of combat scenarios.

So what does this ship ultimately offer, and who is it for? JS 30DX is a versatile frigate capable of delivering fresh gameplay experiences for both seasoned captains and newcomers just beginning to learn the fundamentals of naval combat. Thanks to its balanced combination of anti-submarine tools, effective air defense, and excellent maneuverability, it can forgive certain mistakes in battle. Overall, it’s hard to imagine a situation this Japanese “newcomer” wouldn’t be ready to handle.

🛳️ Destroyer USS Lyndon B. Johnson (DDG-1002)

The ship’s offensive power is traditionally concentrated in its missile and artillery systems, while its defensive components have undergone significant redesign. New air defense systems include advanced laser and missile solutions, complemented by an anti-torpedo system to counter underwater threats.

This new destroyer, available exclusively to players with “Legendary” status, is essentially the familiar USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000), but with enhanced air defense and anti-submarine capabilities. These upgrades significantly expand the range of threats it can counter, while preserving the familiar layout of key combat systems and the gameplay well known to experienced players.

🛳️ Frigate RF Rusich-3000

Role: Trimaran frigate Steam post imageA Russian concept for a new trimaran frigate capable of operating effectively even in heavy seas. Its electric propulsion systems with battery-based energy storage are placed in separate outer hulls, which not only improves stability but also provides high speed. The expanded deck area in the central hull allows for the deployment of up to two helicopters.

Gameplay for the new Russian frigate revolves around high mobility and strong defenses: the enlarged deck enables simultaneous use of two helicopters, a top speed of 30 knots allows rapid maneuvers, and a smoke screen helps break enemy line of sight. Five exposed air-defense mounts effectively counter aerial attacks, while the integrated Paket-NKR anti-torpedo autocannon reliably protects the ship from underwater threats, making combat highly dynamic and strategically flexible.

✈️ Bomber XB-70 Valkyrie
