Modern Warships changes
Commanders! You know that in battle, it’s not only tactics and knowledge of your own ship that matter, right? No less important is understanding the terrain on which the fight unfolds. Natural cover, destructible environmental elements, advantageous positions — all of these can become decisive factors. A player who studies the map well can skillfully use its advantages and win even an uneven battle.
Each map in our game has its own character and unique atmosphere. Let’s take a closer look at them!
Arctic
Steam post imageCold winds and massive ice formations greet you the moment you enter the expanses of the Arctic… Silvery water glimmers under the dim sky, while mist hides the shores, turning every strait into a frozen, shifting maze. Glaciers — majestic and indifferent — can crack and collapse under the powerful strikes of rockets and cannons, altering the course of battle and opening new routes and tactical opportunities where impassable barriers stood just moments earlier. In the distance, an icebreaker slowly cuts through the frozen field like a guardian of ancient waters, and beyond the veil of fog lies a secret base hidden from prying eyes. Who knows — perhaps one day it will suddenly intervene in the battle?
Here, every gun flash and every explosion sounds like a violation of the eternal silence, and an experienced captain must remember: danger lurks not only in the cold and the enemy, but also in the very nature of this frozen land.
Unexplored Rocks
Steam post imageAlmost absolute calm, clear weather, and countless rocks offering at least some cover — what more could one want for a glorious sea battle? The Rocky Channel is a serene azure sea bordered by massive stone cliffs rising straight from the water like ancient guardians. The sky is streaked with thin clouds, the sun reflects softly in the mirror-like surface, and far in the distance the silhouettes of enemy ships can barely be seen.
This place is the perfect calm before the storm: every islet and rock becomes a natural shield for ambushes, maneuvers, and sudden attacks, turning open space into a true labyrinth of tactical opportunities. Ships slide between the cliffs, ready at any moment to break the silence with rocket salvos and cannon thunder — a place where calm is deceptive, and victory belongs to those who best know how to hide among the rocks and strike without missing.
Old Factory
Steam post imageThe Old Factory reveals itself among quiet, shadowed cliffs where the sea, tinted by the colors of the evening sky, rocks gentle waves reflecting the rosy clouds on the horizon. Autumn forests on the rocky hills seem to glow with their last warmth, resisting the cold breath of the wind that slips through narrow passages and brings the smell of damp air and an approaching fog. Between towering cliffs, hidden from the world, stands an abandoned industrial complex — its gray walls and concrete arches blending with the stern landscape as if nature is slowly reclaiming it. Wide channels between the rocks form a complex network of routes where sharp turns and low-lying areas can change the battle in an instant.
This territory becomes a place where the silence of nature and the echo of abandoned industry intertwine, creating an atmosphere of mysterious calm before the inevitable clash.
Viking Bay
Steam post imageIn Viking Bay the weather is almost always clear, and the constant calm creates a special, almost unreal tranquility over this peaceful northern archipelago. Nearby lies a small port village — a refuge for workers from the surrounding offshore oil rigs scattered farther out to sea. It seems nothing could disturb this serenity… except a sudden naval battle capable of shattering the peace in an instant and turning the rigs into piles of twisted metal.
And only a lone lighthouse, standing in the heart of the bay, silently watches — like a quiet spectator in a dark movie hall, able only to observe, powerless to intervene.
Islands of Iceland
Steam post imageWhat could sound louder than cannon fire and rocket salvos? Only thunder that majestically drowns out the noise of battle, and the furious roar of raging waves crashing against the harsh cliffs. The Islands of Iceland display this primal force with untouched precision, as if nature itself has decided to join the battle on equal terms with humans.
The landscape dictates its own strict and unyielding rules. Narrow straits become traps where the wind drives thick fog, hiding ship silhouettes. Tall cliffs create natural walls, preventing you from spotting the enemy until the very last moment — when you suddenly burst out nose-to-nose with them, turning reconnaissance into a duel in an instant. But that’s only one side of the coin. Experienced commanders who have studied these cold, inhospitable lands stone by stone can anticipate every move, as if they can feel the breath of the wind guiding the direction of attack. For them, the most “unexpected” encounters become predictable traps laid long in advance.
Monstrous Maelstrom
Cold winds and grim stone cliffs greet you as soon as you enter the Monstrous Maelstrom. Silvery water shimmers under the heavy northern sky, and fog hides the straits and ravines, turning the archipelago into a tangled maze of rocks. On some of the islands, small cozy villages can be seen — quiet, almost lifeless, as if their inhabitants have long grown used to the harsh sea or learned to avoid whatever lurks in its depths.
For in the cold waters lies something ancient, forgotten, and massive — a structure whose presence distorts the currents and sustains the quiet chaos of these lands. Here every salvo sounds like a challenge to the elements, and only a seasoned captain who can read the wind, terrain, and depth beneath the keel will endure this harsh northern realm.
Lost City
Steam post imageIn the golden rays of dawn — or the fiery glow of sunset — the battle begins among the ruins of the City After the War. Once majestic districts now lie half submerged, half collapsed across the ravaged land, as if the earth itself could not withstand the horror that befell it. What caused this catastrophe — a relentless gigantic tornado still slowly drifting somewhere on the horizon, or an unknown ship crashing into the city and bringing down a bridge — remains a mystery buried beneath layers of water and silt.
One thing is unquestionable: the skyscrapers still rising above the ruins long ago lost their purpose. Now they are nothing more than empty skeletons of the past — and can, and sometimes must, be destroyed for tactical advantage. The city is already dead, but its remnants continue to serve those who fight amid the shadows of former greatness.
Rising Fortress
Steam post imageThe name of these lands is fully justified: in the heart of the archipelago, on a solitary rocky island, rises an ancient stone fortress. Though it has long lost its military purpose, it still stands as a grim sentinel of the past, looming over the calm water. Its weathered walls remind of bygone battles, even if only cold silence fills them today.
The surrounding islands lie far from the central cliff, forming a wide ring-like arena. This geography makes the area ideal for long-range duels — rocket volleys and extended cannon exchanges become the core of battle here. Wide waterways stretch between the islands, and every shot echoes off the fortress walls, a reminder of why these lands bear the name “Impenetrable Fortress.”
Arid Frontier
These lands look as though they belong not to Earth, but to a distant, lifeless planet. Massive sand formations carved by time and battered by dry winds stretch to the horizon, and the rare, stubborn vegetation only emphasizes the sense of alienness and abandonment. Only the solitary oil rigs, crafted by human hands, pull you back to reality — a reminder that even in the most desolate corners of the world, humans find a way to leave their mark.
High cliffs and long, winding corridors turn this desert into a true labyrinth, ideal for daring and stealthy maneuvers. In the Arid Frontier, every step, every turn, and every hidden passage can determine the outcome of battle — and the desert itself seems to aid those who can read its lines and shadows.
Greenlands
Missed the summer getaway? The Tropics offer a real refuge for those who appreciate both warm climates and classic naval combat tactics. In the center of the archipelago towers a massive volcano like a guardian of these lands, surrounded by islands wrapped in dense, nearly impassable jungle.
Across the water, tall-masted tourist yachts bob gently, and beneath the transparent surface bright coral reefs — tiny underwater treasures — can be seen. The Tropics provide not only the chance for thrilling battles, but also the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of these resort-like lands, where each cannon blast intertwines with the surprisingly calming sound of the waves.
Polar Frontier
Cold winds and somber stone cliffs greet you as soon as you enter the Polar Frontier. Silvery water glimmers under the heavy northern sky, and fog hides straits and ravines, turning the archipelago into a twisted maze of rocks. On some islands small fishing villages appear in the distance.
Above this vast landscape shimmers the Northern Lights, painting the darkness with green, violet, and blue streaks of light — as if nature itself is watching the course of battle. Every salvo here sounds like a challenge to the elements, and an experienced captain who can read the wind, terrain, and currents will not only survive, but turn the cold waters and glowing skies into a tactical advantage.
Two Samurai
Here you can truly immerse yourself in the coastal nature of the Land of the Rising Sun. Sakura groves and quiet fishing villages live their measured, almost eternal lives, seemingly unaware of the storms and battles unfolding around them — whether duels between ships on the water or the rivalry of two mighty volcanoes.
One volcano radiates calm and confidence like an ancient guardian watching the world, while the other pulses with energy and chaos, ready to erupt at any moment — a reminder that power and destruction always walk hand in hand. In this contrast, nature and history create a unique arena where beauty meets danger and harmony meets unpredictability.
Hidden Dragon
The vast green landscapes of the Celestial Empire immediately catch the eye, captivating anyone who enters these waters. The magnificent combination of wide valleys and towering stone walls stretching along the mountain ridges contrasts sharply with the cozy fishing villages scattered across several coastal islands.
Theterrain here is truly unique: alongside wide straits between islands lie narrow water channels through which even small ships can unexpectedly slip into the enemy’s rear or disappear just as quickly from pursuit. Every maneuvering attack becomes an art form in these waters, where knowledge of the terrain and the captain’s bravery decide the outcome of battle.
Stone Peaks
Like pillars fallen from the sky and driven into the earth, these colossal stone spires immediately draw attention. Narrow passages between the towering cliffs make every battle here unpredictable, turning even familiar maneuvers into a test of tactics and reaction. Beneath the water lie tunnels through which submarines can suddenly enter the enemy’s rear or disappear from danger just as swiftly.
But behind all this almost alien beauty lies something more… Sometimes it seems the cliffs are watching you, and in their silent shapes one can almost make out a face following your every move. Here, nature itself becomes part of the game, both awe-inspiring and unsettling.
Storm
The vast expanse of a raging ocean, a furious storm, and several hastily abandoned oil rigs standing lonely amidst the waves — all of this creates an arena for a swift and ruthless fight for control of the area. If the rigs obstruct your fire, you can turn them into ruins with powerful cannon and rocket volleys, sending pillars of flame and smoke into the sky — heralds of your enemy’s inevitable fate.
Here every element of battle matters: from your ship’s equipment to your team’s coordination. In storm conditions even a small mistake can lead to crushing defeat, even if moments earlier everything seemed under control. On this map, nature and steel are equals — and only those who can master both will emerge victorious.
