Mistworld changes
Today, I would like to introduce the development progress completed as of May 2026, as well as some of the upcoming content planned for the future.
(Since the game's English localization is not yet complete, English translations have been provided beneath screenshots that contain Korean text.)
1. The Black Citadel
The Black Citadel will serve as the player's primary base of operations from Chapter 2 onward.
It is a centralized location where many convenience features can be found, including companion characters, shops, crafting facilities, and various other services.
This is the overall layout of the interior.
(빠른 이동 : Fast Travel)
And this is how it appears from the in-game perspective.
Fast Travel will also be unlocked when the base becomes available.
For example, interacting with a Fast Travel platform like the one shown in the screenshot will allow you to quickly travel to another destination.
(Brieshire
Outside the Black Citadel
A secluded citadel hidden deep within the Black Forest.
Once inhabited by living dolls, this place serves as an ideal base of operations.)
In Chapter 2, players will be able to freely explore a vast network of closely connected maps.
The player's quarters contain various convenience features.
As you continue exploring different areas, additional functions can be unlocked.
You may also want to keep an eye out for the animals wandering somewhere within the Citadel!
2. The Black Forest
The player's base is located deep within the Black Forest.
Somewhere within the depths of the forest lie vast decaying swamps inhabited by various non-human races.
There are also caves filled with giant spiders.
(Help! I've injured my leg!)
Of course, you may encounter unexpected events as well.
Powerful enemies may appear in places where you least expect them, so be careful whenever you venture into the Black Forest.
3. Gathering and Crafting
(Gathering
Glowing natural objects can be gathered to obtain crafting materials.)
Resources can be gathered throughout the wilderness.
These materials can be used to create potions that assist in combat, or elixirs that permanently improve character attributes.
Gathering is added directly to your inventory without any animation or delay.
Resources also respawn randomly whenever you leave and re-enter an area.
4. Brill
ocated south of the Black Citadel, Brill is one of the largest cities in the Brishaier region.
However, after the Mist Incident, the city rapidly expanded as it accepted refugees from surrounding areas.
As a result, Brill has become a chaotic place where merchants, mercenaries, and refugees from all walks of life are forced to coexist.
Countless NPCs, quests, and events await you throughout the city.
Players who completed the Prologue may remember escaping from a portion of the massive city of Falldorn.
Almost every visible building could be entered, and most visible objects could be interacted with.
The same philosophy applies to Brill.
Most buildings you see can be entered.
("Ah... you're a mercenary, aren't you? I'm afraid this Collegia is closed to outsiders. Please leave at once.")
("My apologies. I'll leave immediately.")
("My apologies. May I ask you a few questions?")
("Another lost adventurer, I see.
This isn't a shop, you know.")
("This is a private residence.
You have entered armed and disturbed the peace of my family.")
(So I would appreciate it if you would turn around and leave through the same door you came in.")
("My apologies. I'll leave immediately.")
("My apologies. I only wished to ask a few questions.")
That said, the residents here tend to be less friendly than your typical JRPG townsfolk.
If you enter somewhere without permission, you may be asked to leave.
You can purchase a wide variety of goods and ingredients at the marketplace.
You can also accept quests from various guilds and organizations.
("For 2,000 Galis, the finest shield in the Golden Plains will protect you.")
Mercenaries may be hired from the Mercenary Registry.
In addition, bounty contracts are available.
Most bounty targets are extremely dangerous enemies, so careful planning and strategy will be required.
And who knows?
A wanted criminal may even offer to split the reward with you if they can provide proof of their own bounty.
5. Crow Alley
("I heard some of the city's lower-class folk were caught stealing in another region.")
Somewhere in Brill's northeastern district lies a path leading to an underground city.
Within the underground slums known as Crow Alley, countless beggars and thugs roam the streets.
("Hey. You lot look like you've got some money.
Hand over everything you're carrying.")
("Another idiot adventurer, huh?
Get lost if you don't want to get stabbed, moron.")
("There's no need to be so hostile. Who's to say we couldn't be friends?")
("It would be in your best interest not to drive away Relok's customers.")
("If you keep running your mouth, I'll cut that tongue out and shove it back down your throat.")
("You should be more careful about who you insult. Especially when they're armed.")
("What? I didn't quite catch that. Oh, you want a beating?")
("I only wish to talk.")
(Attack.)
(Leave.)
Some may attack without warning.
Others may be willing to provide information through negotiation, persuasion, or other means.
("Hey, if you want to pass through here, you'll have to pay a toll.")
("Very well. How much?")
("I don't think Relok would approve of this.")
("What makes you think I'll hand it over so easily?")
("... Can you lower the price a little?")
("Do I look like someone who has money?")
("Then I'll come back another time.")
("I'll lower it to 8 Galis. Not a coin less.")
("Surely you could make it 6 Galis?")
("Very well. Here you are.")
("Could? Don't give me that nonsense.
You know what else I could do? Beat the hell out of you, you little bastard.")
There are also individuals who demand a "toll" in exchange for passage.
How you choose to deal with them is entirely up to you.
6. Various Field Events
While exploring a wide variety of environments, you will frequently encounter unexpected events.
Clues discovered in one location may help solve events elsewhere or reveal the truth behind a mystery.
Search every corner of the world, uncover hidden secrets, and earn powerful rewards.
Thank you.
