The Steam / Stove demo version has been updated, and I would like to share the improvements.

1. Auto Food Recovery After Battle Added

You can now enable automatic recovery of HP and MP after battle through the options menu by consuming food items.

This means you no longer need to manually open the inventory after every battle to use food.

Additionally, you can set separate HP and MP thresholds in the options menu. Based on the default value of 60%, if HP falls below 60% after battle, food will automatically be consumed to restore it above the threshold.

You can check which items were consumed by pressing the “L” key to view the message log.

Also, damage-over-time status effects such as Bleeding, Poison, Decay, Burn, and Frostbite are now automatically removed after battle.

2. Skill Tooltip Overhaul

Due to the wide variety of skills and the number of factors affecting damage, it was previously difficult to calculate damage intuitively.

In particular, values such as Physical Attack and Agility made it hard to quickly understand actual damage output.

Since these values are not small numbers—and can easily reach the hundreds as the game progresses—the tooltip system has been updated to display total damage more clearly.

For example, the tooltip in the image can be explained as follows:

[Single Enemy]: Indicates that the skill targets one enemy.

[Damage: ATK 80% (62) + AGI 80% (86)]:

This means 80% of the caster’s Physical Attack and 80% of Agility are converted into damage and added together.

The numbers in parentheses (62 and 86) represent the actual calculated values. In this example, Theo has 77 Physical Attack and 107 Agility, resulting in 62 and 86 respectively.

★★★ [Total: 148]: Newly added. You can now refer to this value to quickly understand the actual damage dealt.

[Piercing]: Indicates the skill’s attribute. During combat, you should use attack skills that match the enemy’s attribute icons.

[Success Rate: 90%]: This affects the skill’s accuracy. If a character’s Hit Rate exceeds 100%, it can compensate for lower success rates. At 130% or higher Hit Rate, even skills with around 70% success chance will rarely miss.

★★★ [Apply]: Applies Status Indicates that the skill applies a status effect to the enemy. If no duration is specified, it will last for a random duration between 3 to 5 turns.

[User Weapon: 2x Damage]: If a specific weapon is equipped, the skill will deal double damage. This allows certain skills to become significantly more effective depending on the player’s equipment.

3. Book / Note System Overhaul

The book and note system has been reworked to better support the ongoing localization system and improve maintainability.

A large amount of lore content will now be added to the game.

Books and notes can now be navigated quickly using the left and right arrow keys to turn pages, and reading can be exited by pressing the X key.

4. Animal Implementation in Progress

Work is currently underway to add various animals, including cats and dogs, into the game.

However, their presence in the demo will be limited, and they are planned to be placed throughout towns in Chapter 2.

Related interactions will also be added.

Thank you.
