Pet System Player Guide

Welcome to the **Miner's Nook** Pet System! Here are some cute (and very useful) partners to assist you in mining anomalies. This guide will take you deep into how to acquire, nurture, and manage your army of pets.

1. Acquisition

Pets aren't found just anywhere; you need to find them within specific **Special Events**.

  • **Source:** When encountering Special Events, if you complete the kill within a certain time, there is a chance a "Pet Egg" will drop.

  • **Rarity:** Dropped eggs have different rarities (**Common** / **Rare** / **Legendary**). The rarer the egg, the stronger the pet's constitution typically is upon hatching.

2. Hatching

After obtaining an egg, you need to hatch it in the **Hatching UI**. This is a mini-game that tests your clicking speed!

  • **How to Play:** Click the egg to accumulate hatching progress.

  • **Core Stability:** You must complete the required number of clicks within the **Time Limit**.

  • **Difficulty:** Higher rarity eggs require more clicks and the time might be tighter.

  • **Success:** Upon successful hatching, the pet will join your team.

  • **Failure:** If unstable (timeout), hatching will fail (currently set to be retryable).

3. Pet Management

Open the **Pet Inventory** to manage your partners.

### Stats Explanation

Each pet has unique random values (fluctuating within the range for its species):

  • **Attack Power:** Damage the pet deals to Special Events.

  • **Max Satiety:** The pet's "Endurance". Higher values mean they can work on the field longer.

  • **Target Types:** Each pet can handle different Special Events. How to match them is a science!

### Satiety & Feeding

  • **Mechanism:** Pets consume satiety continuously while active on the field.

  • **Sleep State:** When satiety drops to zero, pets enter a "Sleep State" (Zzz...), during which they **will not attack or move**.

  • **Feeding:** Click the "Feed" button in the inventory to restore satiety.

  • **Sorting Tips:**

  • Use **Hunger** sort: Quickly find hungry pets (those with the largest deficit appear first).

  • Use **Max Satiety** sort: Find the pets with the best endurance.

### Customization

  • **Rename:** You can give your beloved pet a name! (Supports custom display)

## 4. Combat

Once summoned to the field, pets operate automatically:

  • **Auto-Targeting:** When a Special Event occurs, the pet will automatically attack the Special Events it can handle.

  • **Roaming (Idle):** When there are no targets, they will wander around nearby (Roaming).

  • **Drag Interaction:** You can use your mouse to **Drag** pets to adjust their position, or throw them into the battlefield!

5. Tips

  • **Hotkeys:** In the Hatching UI, **Spacebar**, **1**, **2**, and **3** are disabled to prevent accidental presses. However, the **F Key** can be used as an alternative to clicking (in case your hand gets tired). *(Use mouse and keyboard together, or you won't hatch the Legendary eggs!!)*

  • **Select Elites:** Use the sorting function to filter out pets with the highest Attack Power or best endurance for focused training.

**Happy Mining!**
