Rejoice Hunters and Mimics! The first real batch of patch notes are upon us!
Hunter Traps
Revamped UI — yellow dot indicators now show trap charges above each Gear.
Added a radial recharge timer for each trap.
Added a throw animation; traps correctly disappear from hand when out of charges.
Now persist for the entire round (previously disappeared after 60 seconds).
Can always be placed and now spawn closer to the Hunter’s feet.
All traps now start with 5 charges (will be rebalanced with future data).
Teams & Lobby
Returning from a map now keeps you on the same team (Team A: Mimics / Team B: Hunters).
Added “Team A” or “Team B” text above player names on the Lobby board.
Survey Drone
Fully revamped: now “pings” Mimic locations with a static ping visible to both teams.
Hunters can locate general areas without tracking Mimics directly.
Balances power by allowing Mimics to reposition when detected.
Knife
Increased effective melee range.
Hitbox reduced from 15×15×15 → 10×10×10.
Damage increased from 25 → 100 per hit.
Animation changed from a slash to a stab — cleaner and more satisfying.
Mouse Settings
Mouse sensitivity now updates instantly.
Slider range increased from 0.1–1 → 0.01–2.
Audio & UI Fixes
Fixed Mimic voice lines and “Entropy Approaches” HUD message not showing.
Added camera lag to both Hunters and Mimics for smoother movement.
Kill Feed visually improved for clarity.
Post-match “LOSS” text is now red.
Fixed post-match voice line variety (now random from 4 Victory / 4 Defeat lines).
Weapons
PHW-XLSM (Assault Rifle): accuracy spread tightened from ±15 → ±5.
- Grenadesound quieter; pull-in radius and slow effect increased; animation less buggy.
Cryo Bullets: now usable with primary fire on Eclipse S-30 shotgun.
Siphon Saber:
Greatly increased slashing range when activated.
New blue energy explosion effect when hitting Mimics.
Updated hit mechanics — now hits multiple objects.
When Activated:
Hitting Mimic heals you for 20.
No longer damages Hunters.
When not activated: hitting non-Mimic objects costs 25 HP.
Paint Canister: now also slows Mimics in addition to marking them.
- Nanite Repaircooldown drastically reduced from 360s → 30s .
Rigging Trap: under review for effectiveness.
- PHW-XLSM M203 EMP Grenadefixed firing/visibility issues.
Mimics
No longer need to manually turn into an object — auto-transforms at round start.
Can’t use abilities before Hunters are released from Blind Timer.
Vociferations (sound rework):
Focus Azimuth increased 5° → 30°, Non-Focus 30° → 120°.
Inner radius increased 500 → 800 (full volume heard sooner).
Non-Focus Attenuation increased 0.3 → 0.85.
Binaural Radius decreased 1200 → 100 (less revealing).
Baraxxas Tweaks:
Evolution Blade: causes bleed only if Hunters are moving.
Inky Spit: shake-off duration doubled.
Manipulation: damages moving Hunters only.
- Voxsplosionradius increased 300 → 500 .
Maps & Bugs
Fixed Overtake movement bug on Bazaar-Al Kadim.
Fixed Unstuck button functionality.
Fixed Combat/Survey Drone visual position issues.
Fixed Training Room VR headset not disappearing.
Fixed accuracy desync due to Hunter Camera replication.
Fixed Fullscreen/Windowed Mode not saving.
Fixed lobby “weird sounds” from auto-playing Gear/Evolution videos.
Quality of Life
Added Voice Chat (see new Audio menu).
Added Text Chat (press Enter to talk).
Added Player List + Mute Management (via Escape menu).
Added BEST OF indicator at top of screen (round count display).
Added new wormhole animation when loading into maps.
