Metro Awakening changes
Thank you all for your support, feedback and reviews so far. It's been incredible to see your reactions to the team's work since launch, and we’re committed to improving your experience. We have now deployed a hotfix for Steam and Rift users which addresses some of the issues reported by the community. Here’s a breakdown of what’s included:
Graphics Improvements
- Render Scale AdjustmentWe’ve reduced render scale max setting for players, which now automatically adjusts to help prevent crashes.
- Texture Pool SizeChanged the size of the texture pool to allow for players to enable higher-resolution textures, enhancing visual fidelity across environments.
Gun Rotation Options
Adjusted the default gun angle and introduced a manual adjustment option.
Continuous Rotation Speed
Added an adjustable rotation speed option in the menu, giving more control over movement, and implemented in-game.
Upcoming fixes Additional fixes are currently in progress and planned for release in the next update. These include, among others:
Two-Handed Weapon Offset
Graphics Settings UI Enhancements
Additionally, we want to remind players experiencing performance issues that adjusting VR runtime settings can significantly improve stability and performance. For guidance, please see the following articles:
