changedAs we reach the end of the year, the team at Attack Dog Studios is wrapping up an extremely productive stretch of development — and getting ready for a bit of well-earned downtime with friends and family, but before we step away for the holiday season, we wanted to share a quick update on what’s been happening behind the scenes:
changedPerformance Optimizations
addedOver the past few weeks, we’ve put a major focus on performance improvements across the project. Several systems have been refined and optimized to reduce overhead, improve frame pacing, and create a smoother overall game play experience. These gains are already noticeable in our internal builds, and performance will remain one of our key targets moving into the new year.
changedWeapon Balancing/Custom Sounds
addedWe've also implemented the remainder of our initial weapon attachments as well as our initial system for their balancing when applied to specific weapons. While further testing will be required to ensure things remain viable and balanced, this is a huge step to completing some of the more tactical feel of the game. Along with this, we've also implemented some new custom audio solutions for various weapons, movement, and actions that add a bit of flavor to the experience overall and aid with immersion while playing.

Server Infrastructure Update

We’re also excited to confirm that the game will be launching with integration for AWS GameLift as our dedicated server solution. While dedicated servers are still in active development, we now have a clear and confirmed path forward, and integration work is underway. This is a major milestone for us, and one we’re looking forward to sharing more about as it progresses.

KICKSTARTER INBOUND

We are officially preparing to launch our crowdfunding campaign! This is a massive milestone for Method of Entry. You can directly support the team right now just by hitting "Notify me on launch" on our page. It helps us build critical momentum for day one, and ensures you're ready to grab a limited Early Bird tier when we go live. Feel free to take a look and Follow the Campaign Here!

We'll have more to share in the coming weeks, but until then... Happy holidays, and we’ll see you soon!
