This time, we’d like to introduce part of the setting of the world where Memorie lives.

Elmana Village, where the story takes place, is home to the everyday lives of its people, as well as legends that have been passed down since ancient times.

Elmana Village

First, we’ll introduce Elmana Village, a mountain village located near the border between the Kingdom of Alminara and the Duchy of Denado.

It is a place where travelers prepare before crossing the mountains, and though small, it plays an important role.

A mountain village located near the border between the Kingdom of Alminara and the Duchy of Denado.Though it is a small village surrounded by mountains, it is also a place where travelers heading across the border to the neighboring country prepare for their journey, stocking up on medicinal herbs renowned for their potency and other supplies.However, due to the difficulty of crossing the mountains and its distance from the royal capital, it has not developed as much as the towns along the major roads.The people are gentle by nature, with a spirit of helping one another.Once a year, the entire village comes together to hold a lively festival honoring the Tree of Light.

Tree of Light

The Tree of Light is an essential part of any story about Elmana Village.

Towering near the village, this tree is more than just a famous landmark. It is a legendary existence said to be connected to the very origins of the world itself.

A legendary tree that towers high into the sky, known to all across the world.Its age is said to be several thousand years, or perhaps even tens of thousands. Some scholars even believe that the Tree of Light is the origin of all things.Its uppermost branches constantly give off a bright, gentle light, as if illuminating the world. Some mages believe it may be possible to communicate with the “Great Light” through it.Countless challengers have attempted to reach its summit throughout recorded history, but there has never been a report of anyone succeeding.

In the game itself, we cannot explain every detail of the world.

Instead, we hope players can sense the lives of the people around Memorie, and the time that has flowed through this world, through the terms and item names that appear in the game, as well as through Memorie’s own words.

When you play the demo, we hope you’ll take a moment to notice these little details and enjoy imagining the life Memorie leads.

Extra: The Making of Memorie’s Room

Memorie’s Room is a place you can visit in the demo.

In this extra section, we’d like to share a few development images showing how the room changed on its way to completion.

In the early stages of development, Memorie’s room was still an empty space.

We placed temporary furniture while gradually shaping the atmosphere and figuring out what would be needed to express Memorie’s daily life.

Before Memorie’s 3D model was completed, a different character sometimes appeared in the room as a placeholder.

The temporary furniture placed at this stage would later be significantly reworked as the setting was finalized and the application was optimized.

This image is from when we were exploring the design around the windows in Memorie’s room.

We experimented with the windows so that they would leave a strong impression, including the view outside, while capturing a Celtic-inspired style, the feeling of a witch’s room, and the fact that much of the story takes place inside this room.

At this point, the Tree of Light had not yet appeared outside the window.

The many objects placed around the room were arranged while imagining what Memorie’s everyday life might be like.

Her favorite tea set, stuffed toys, and magical tools such as a mirror and crystal ball are all part of that space.

We hope each object gives you a small chance to imagine the time that flows through Memorie’s room.

Finally, here is Memorie’s room from a slightly pulled-back angle that you don’t usually see during normal gameplay.

We are continuing to refine the room, focusing on the areas visible in-game while also making sure the atmosphere of the entire space comes through.
